I want a digital camera!
I want one. I need one. I'm a picture whore, a camera whore - I will admit it. A whore without the means to be one. It's pathetic.
For the past two years, I was given a brand new digital camera to play with. And each camera slowly met its end a few months later. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm cursed!
For Christmas of 2006, I unwrapped a Samsung Digimax S500, a request I had been asking for after determining that my 3-year-old Kodak one just completely sucked. In February 2007, I dropped it. It stopped working. I cried, I whined, I sobered up and mentally pushed my self-respect down to pitiful levels. A couple of months later, in May, my brother fiddled around with it and it started working again. Yay, right? But the bliss only lasted a month, when I pressed the button to turn on and it did NOT turn on. Camera has ceased working since. Fuck.
The next Christmas, in 2007, my mom purchased me a Kodak M753. Completely unwarranted, I did not think that she would be that considerate enough! I didn't ask for a replacement camera! But voila, I had one. And everything was dandy. Until the end of the school year, in April, WHEN IT HAD MISTAKENLY, STUPIDLY, DRUNKENLY FALLEN INTO A TOILET BOWL. How horrendous. IT WAS AWFUL. It wouldn't turn on. Well, duh, that's water damage for you. Gross, dirty water damage. After a couple of weeks, the camera managed to turn on, but everything was horribly distorted. The LCD wasn't working, the pictures were fuzzy, EVERYTHING WAS ALL WRONG. Fuck fuck.
I'm debating. Should I attempt to send these poor souls in for repair, or use the $80-90 I'd have to spend on a completely new camera, on a new, unfortunate addition to my dying, broken family? I don't know.
Fuck. I can't even find the cords for these things, and neither have battery charges.
