Two men come out of the tobacco store and rush to
their car, close their doors, and quickly begin rubbing
lottery tickets. Im in the car parked next to them just looking
over my newly purchased used landscape photofolio by
a photographwe i admit i cannot remember the name of at the moment.
My attention shifts to the men in their car, at this point im staring at
the very determined looks on their faces, and im hoping for
one to break a smile due to a new lucky few dollars.
The man directly next to me goes from one ticket to the next till
he gets to his last one, rubs it, rips it, throws it out his partially open window
and just starts the car with a disgruntled look on his face. As he
pulls out, he looks over at me and i quickly look away to my book.
I laughed and wondered how many more lottery tickets im going to have
to be disappointed by before i finally get the prize.
