(no subject)
I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was nice. Leona makes amazing corn and Ina made a chocolate pecan pie which is the most amazing thing ever invented. I found it interesting that both of them made both turkey AND ham for some reason.
It was nice catching up and meeting relatives, and we played a rousing game of Cranium which Alicia and I dominated, if I do say so myself. Afterwards my (second) cousin Josh invited us to go bowling, which I failed at, if I do say so myself. Fun tho.
We also decided to go to the movies afterwards and saw Astro Boy, which wasn't that amusing really. It was devoid of the hidden adult humor the show originally had, but it was okay overall.
Josh, Alicia, Max, and I drove around for a while like the disaffected youths we are and chatted. We shared movie and music tastes (Josh prefers bad Christian and Indie, respectively) and Josh regaled us with tales of the up and coming drugs in Kansas. It was fun, even if they made me go into a Taco Bell.
Mom has decided to stay a couple more days because apparently Nancy's finances are a mess and she needs help sorting things out. It's becoming a looming possibility that Nancy will be coming to CA to live with us pretty soon here because her memory is going and she's a terrible driver and its just a matter of time until she ends up crashing or getting hurt and there's no one here able to take her in (and she actually prefers CA, its just family that keeps her here). She's a bit... annoying to be frank but I'd rather her here and safe and happy. I love her despite her hoarding and compulsions.
As such, Max and I are hitting the road in the morning sans mumsy for the epic drive home, but we're planning on stopping in Gallup for the night rather than push through at least.
Uuugh i have work on Sunday.
