ARghhh Melbourne Cup Day today.
Wore my grandfather's akubra hat to work for the hat competition lol. Didn't win sadly. Though the hat that i helped make for a co-worker did. Cardboard top hat with photos of horses stuck to it and a handle made out of bubble wrap with white bubble wrap on top to make it look like a mug of beer and then we hung tea bags from it.
How she won I've no idea lol but she won a bottle of champagne and gave it to the people who helped make it. We'll drink it one day I guess :)
It was finally hot enough for me to go for a swim in our newly cleaned pool this afternoon. I was going to swim in the mornings before work but I trully can't be fucked getting up that early so if it stays hot I will continue to do it after work :)
Can't wait for the weekend...I'm over worked already and it;s only tuesday
