For lack of a better title (and cliche)....
Believe it or not, I feel like I've been so swamped with work. It was like I was hit by a truck. I can't be put under so much pressure... I'll crack. And I did. At the end of the week, I just passed out when I got home. Sigh. But I still got through it.
Exams last week went really terrible. Well, stats did at least. When I got my score, I had to make sure it was out of a hundred - it was. It was that bad. Eep. But other than that, everything else seemed to went smoothly. I did manage to cram more studying in between crash sessions. And to my shock, I managed to juggle babysitting and studying AFTER a long day reading manuscripts at internship & commuting. (I had to add commuting because seriously the bus and subway system is really just tiring!)
Other than school, the weather around here has been disastrous. Everyone was all: OMG HURRICANE!!!! But I really doubt it. Our town was one of the lucky ones... (or maybe it's just the lack of trees in my town. It's not so verdurous....). Some towns like
xxxsunny 's were really bad... Trees everywhere. 90% of the county is without electricity and/or water.... this was since Saturday, and the electric company says it can go as long as Wednesday/Thursday. Ouch.
But lucky me, I was 100% electric the whole time. Whee!
I've been doing a lot of out of fandom reading lately, aka "real" books. And I do feel so bad that I've missed out on the dmhgficexchange for the most part. With the holidays (I was away...) and other distractions I didn't have time to catch up. Still proud of myself though that I did get a mention (though I didn't win) for the reviewer award.
To make amends with my lack of presence in the fandom, I put in Parade in the Sun by
everythursday (I think) in my lovely nook yesterday. I'm quite excited to read it.... which I'll probably do after I finish the current book I'm reading (A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabaldon - its a freaking tome!).
