Chapter Four:
“You lost another one?” The voice was one like his voice, Finnish. Emerald eyes glanced over at the male as he left the bar, his brunette locks hanging over his face. The other male beside him glanced up at him rather being about five inches shorter than him or a bit more than that. His eyes were a dark blue sometimes flickering to a grey color. His black locks were spiked up in the black bangs coming over the front of his face. His eyes lightly highlighted with black eye-shadow. A set of fingerless gloves that were stripped on tanned skin, a vest that looked like an army one thrown over his upper torso and skinny jeans were draped on his lower frame.
“Perhaps, perhaps not.” The emerald eyed male said a little wary.
“Famous last words from you. You’re the only one left from the coven of our kin. Our sin. Father is getting concerned for you.” Oceanic eyes looked over the thinner male.
“I know, but mind you, we only get one mate to be with, or rather I do. I rather make it count.” The male said icily.
“Even so, you waste precious time. Why do you wait so much?” Blue eyes glanced him over again.
“I like to play sometimes.” Pink lips muttered in return.
“Sometimes. Tch, more like all the time.” The shorter of the two shot back. “It’s going to get you into trouble. He wants more souls. You know that…
“It’s a damned life, being what we are. Sometimes I wish, Jyrki didn’t find you.” Jade eyes glanced at the dim starry sky lighting a smoke from his box of them in his jacket.
“That wouldn’t have changed much for you luv, at least I don’t think. Dear old Lucifer had his eyes on you since you were a baby. Besides you’re just immortal now, nothing much has changed, has it?” It was his reply back from the male.
“Even so... tonight was abnormal… Jussi... Did you ever…” Jade eyes and pale pink lips pause for a brief second. “Did you, when Jyrki met you feel afraid or run at all?” The male mutters to Jussi whose looking at him with a blank expression.
“Usually, humans feel either paranoid around our kin or a little on the edge... This boy wasn’t?” Jussi replied back as they walked.
“No, he seemed more afraid of his own skin than me. Which is odd…”
“He’s human, of course he’s odd.” Jussi muttered.
“He has this place of being, he gives off innocence and ignorance yet he isn’t.” The other male shot back.
“You don’t think he’s an angel do you?” Jussi asked in a quiet tone, stopping at a graveyard at the outskirts of the town.
Emerald eyes looked at him, a trace of fear in them. “I hope to hell not, but then again we could convert him. He has a chance, besides.. I did touch him at least once…”
“Oh you always did have that way of getting into someone’s head, before they could stop you..” Jussi smirked running a hand though his locks.
“Yes, yes I did..” The Finn murmured back, as the smoke from is cigarette drifted off into the night, and the two of them stood peering out into the darkness waiting, planning for their next move.
