Yeah, cos not everyone feels love like some idiot writes in a book. I mean, look at the obscure ones, the cheese one, the onion, the tattoo. Love comes in so many ranges, depths and intensities. But generally, its a permanent thing. You dont stop loving say your girl/boyfriend because of a fight, and in my experience, even after a breakup, you still care for them at the very least.

I hate the defintion in the dictionary, because its a really hard thing to define. It just...shouldnt be in the dictionary, not everyone feels it the same as some gonks definition in a book!
