That Way April sighed and sent Jess to wake his brother for dinner.
“Bam!” Jess yelled from the foot of the stairs.
April frowned at her eldest son. “Jess! Go up and knock!”
Jess rolled his eyes and scowled at his mother, but did as he was told, venturing up the stairs.
“Bam,” he said, knocking on the door. “You awake, bro?”
When there was no response, he eased the door open. He grinned when he saw Bam deep in sleep. Jess’s brow furrowed for a moment as he saw another sleeping form, Ville.
Smirking, he approached the bed and shook his brother awake. “Yo, Bam, Ape says dinner’s ready.”
Bam opened his eyes slowly.
Jess jerked his head towards the still sleeping Ville. “Who’s the chick?”
Bam scowled and yawned. “He’s not a chick. He’s guy. His name is Ville. He’s just a friend.”
Jess looked sceptical. “Yeah, right, whatever, man.”
He retreated back downstairs to let Ville and Bam wake up on their own.
“Fucking moron,” Bam muttered, before shaking Ville into consciousness.
The Finn smiled as his sleep-warped eyes saw sapphire. It was probably the most beautiful thing Ville had ever seen, he could defiantly get used to waking up to it.
Bam brushed a few stray curls back off Ville’s face and looked at him with tender eyes. “Ape says dinner’s ready.”
Ville grinned slyly. “Do we really have to move?”
Bam patted his stomach. “We do if we don’t want to starve.”
Ville sighed and nodded resignedly. “Food sounds good. Migè and Linde can’t cook. They spend the day in their room doing I don’t know what, but they can’t cook.” He thought for a moment. “Then again, neither can I.”
Bam jumped out of bed. “Wait a sec, you live with Migè and Linde?” He giggled like a little girl.
Ville sat up and shrugged. “Barely. The only time I see them is during band practice and down at the auctions. They’re too busy doing god only knows what otherwise.”
Bam collapsed hysterically.
Ville looked concerned and pulled a face. “Bammie, are you okay?”
Bam nodded but continued to laugh like a maniac.
Ville raised his eyebrows. “Right…”
“You live with Migè and Linde,” Bam giggled breathlessly, his voice going up two octaves.
The giggling fit began to slowly subside. Bam took several deep breaths and regained his composure.
Ville shook his head exasperatedly. “Dinnertime, I think.”
