Eicca rubbed his eyes and looked up from the computer screen. He had been there, typing and printing off receipts, for the past six hours. He caught sight of Burton, making his way through to the dock to help Linde. Smiling to himself, Eicca flipped his long blonde hair and returned to what he was supposed to be doing.

Burton sighed and smiled at Linde. The guitarist looked at him questioningly and wandered over to him.
“What’s wrong?” Linde asked.
Burton shook his head. “It’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“What did Eicca do this time?” Linde gave him an I know you’re hiding something look.
Burton frowned. “It’s more like, what didn’t he do.”
Linde looked at him sideways and grinned. It was very hard for the pianist to hide anything from him. “It’s Eicca, you know him better than anyone here. Talk to him.”
Burton nodded and shoved his hands into his pockets. “You’re right. Anyway, our shifts are over. You, Migè and Gas still have to stay here.”
Linde made a face. “Don’t remind me. Wait a sec, where’s Valo?”
“You’re his best friend,” Burton replied. “If you’d paid attention, you would’ve noticed the looks he was giving that Bam kid.”
Linde’s jaw dropped. “No way.”
Burton looked smug. “Yes way. I’m going now. I’ll see you later.”
“Bye,” Linde muttered faintly as Burton wandered off.

Eicca shut the computer down and left the administration office. He needed to talk to Burton. Locking the office door, and exiting the building, he pulled a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it.
“Ec!” The yell stopped Eicca in his tracks. He turned to see Burton running towards him, full-pelt.
“Did someone give you something?” Eicca chuckled as Burton pulled to a stop in front of him.
Burton poked his tongue out at Eicca. “No, ‘it’s nice to see you, babe?’ Just a ‘have you been taking something I should know about and should have too’?”
Eicca took a pull from his cigarette. “You know I’m always glad to see you, sweetheart.”
“Let’s go home, Ec,” Burton muttered.
Eicca smiled sweetly and nodded. “Home time it is.”
