The next day, me and Bam were sitting in the nursery for our little boy. I had my paint set out and was drawing little Heartagrams across the skirting board. Bam was sitting behind me happily watching me paint.
Bam was officially 21 weeks along, five months and 1 week if you’re wondering, and I couldn’t have been more excited.
“3 months and 3 weeks.” I muttered, dabbing my paintbrush in the purple paint and tracing it over the pencil design of the Heartagram.
“You seem to be counting down Willa, never seen you so excited.” Bam said, lying down on the red carpet we picked out for our little man.
I turned around and kissed him on the lips.
“Never thought I would be lucky enough to have kids and be with the one I love most.” Bam chuckled and looked towards the door. Ryan stepped in and dumped a box on the floor.
“Most baby stuff for the young couple.” He says, wiping his hands on his trousers and sitting next to Bam.
“Where’s everyone?” I asked, putting my paintbrush down on the newspaper and screwing the lids on the paint pots on.
“Baby shopping, what do you think? Jess is still asleep upstairs so I’ve been left here.” Bam smiles and sits up, I drag the box over and open it up. Inside, loads of individually wrapped gifts were stacked neatly, a letter on the top addressed to Bam.
My lover opens the letter up and begins to read.
“Dear Bam,
Heard the great news bud, congratulations. Never thought our skateboarding bud would finally start a family of his own.
Everyone on tour is missing you; it’s dull and boring without our maniac friend to lighten the mood. Ah well, just a few more skate parks and we can come see how big you’ve gotten.
Ville better be taking care of you, if he isn’t then let him be warned, we have skateboards and we’re not afraid to use them, ha-ha!
Anyway, in here are gifts for the new born twins! (Jess told us when you came back from the hospital and we sent these as fast as lightening) everyone pitched in and bought something for the unborn rascals!
See you soon dude!
Birdman.”
I chuckled and pulled the remaining gifts out.
“I’m dreading to see what these are,” Bam mutters, making Ryan laugh.
I looked at the first package and handed it to Ryan.
“Help us out, or we’ll be here all day opening presents.” Ryan shook his head and pulled the string, unwrapping the gift and grinning.
“Vallely got them little skateboards.” I couldn’t help but laugh.
“How did I see that coming?” I asked, getting a gift and unwrapping it.
This is going to be a long day...
