I woke up to white walls and the smell of disinfectant. Great, not only I’m still alive I’m in a fucking hospital... where’s Bam?!
I shot up and looked around the room.
“Easy Ville, you’ve just come out of a coma.” I turn to see the band and Seppo sitting next to my bed.
“What?” I asked my voice slightly croaky.
“You’ve been in a coma for over a week. You’re lucky to have made it.”
“Where’s Bam, Migé?” I asked, determined to get an answer.
“He’s in the next room, but Ville... they... they don’t think he’ll make it. He came out of theatre as soon as they pulled the bullet out of him and he hasn’t responded to treatment. The only thing that’s keeping him alive at the moment is the oxygen mask on him.” I stared in disbelief at Migé, Bam was still fighting? I was happy to hear that at first but then I remembered Migé saying he might not make it... that sent my nausea off.
I collapsed back onto the bed and groaned.
“When can I see him?”
“Soon Ville, just get some rest.”
I closed my eyes and followed Migés orders. I soon drifted off to sleep with Migé and Lindé discussing Bams unhopeful future.
After a few hours of uneasy sleeping, I woke up and could sense someone in the room with me.
I looked to my left and saw the nurse checking the machines; she turned and nodded, smiling at me.
“Hello Mr. Valo.” I smiled and nodded; I turned my head and yawned, sitting up with the nurses help.
“All your friends left, saying something about getting some dinner before returning. You have good friends.”
“How’s Bam doing?” I asked taking the offered glass of water.
“Mr. Margera? Fine, but they said he was carrying a baby.” I nodded as if it was nothing important, a split second later it struck me and I spat the water I was drinking out and stared at her in disbelief.
Bam’s fucking pregnant?
