I stare at the newspaper a moment longer before turning to look at my dog/wolf besides me. I smile and tug on his lead, making him fall in step with me. Two weeks? Has it really been that long? Has been that long since I met this wonderful being? I receive a nudge and look down to see blue eyes staring up at me, his black and silver collar glistening in the sun, his black fur ruffling in the wind.
“Been a tiring week hey bud?” I said as the wolf continued to look at me. I knew all too well what went on his mind, my ability to read minds was a bonus for the both of us.
No shit, I thought it’s been the most laid back week in ages. I roll my eyes and continue to walk down the side walk, my black leather trench coat gently wavering in our movement. My heavy boots clunked against the concrete as we continued to make our way towards our favorite bar, well my favorite.
I pushed the door open and look around to see if our vampire companions had arrived. They had, in the corner was a small group of four all in different in their own unique vampire way. My wolf follows silently behind me as we settle down at our usual spot.
“We thought you weren’t going to make it, Ville.” I chuckle and nod as Migé, a long known vampire and one of the first I had blooded, passed me my desirable drink, red wine.
“We got side tracked with the news again.” I said, watching my wolf gently lay down to rest. The owner of the bar walked out to us and greeted in a friendly gesture.
“Good to see you two still fighting strong.” I chuckle and watch the owner laid a bowl of water for the wolf.
“Glad to see Bam is alright also.” He mutters quietly so nobody hears him. The owner of the bar was a werewolf, or shape shifter has he prefers to be called, he was the first one to point out Bam to us, Bam had also saved my life.
“You two still going strong?” he asks me and I nod.
“Nothing stronger than the bond between us.” I whisper and watch the group smile. Bam looks up at me and I knew he was smiling on the inside, I could tell by his eyes.
“How’s vampire life for all of you then?” he says as he sits next to Lindé, Migés boyfriend.
“Well we’re still here so I’m guessing ok.” Burton, another one of my friends, mutters.
I sigh and shake my head, “we were almost caught,” I said as I look down at Bammie. His innocent blue eyes turned apologetic.
“Don’t start that again.” I growl and he rolls his eyes and turns away.
Start what? It’s my fault in the first place, I RAN OFF!
I snarl and turn away from Bam, the ignorant basterd he was I knew he wasn’t going to let this one go.
“What did he say?” Gas, a good drummer and friend we had met recently, asked.
“He’s blaming himself again.” I snarled out, refusing to look at the glare I received from Bam.
Burton looks down at the wolf and glares, “stop blaming yourself, it isn’t your fault.” Blunt and to the point. Bam snarls and turns away from us, collapsing to the ground and snorting. I couldn’t help but laugh at Bams child like manners. The wolf started sniffing the air and I knew instantly it wasn’t good. Bam stood up and snarled at the door, every ones attention turned as the door was pushed open and a man holding a gun walked in, his dog following him. Bam snarled and I pulled the lead attached to him back, wondering what the hell has gotten into Bams mind.
Bam stumbled back but charged back towards the other dog, the shop owner also seemed to be tensed. The bigger built dog that seemed to belong to the man with the gun, turned to Bam started snarling and barking as well. The man, I couldn’t see his face it was hidden under a long coats collar, stared at Bam and seemed to be reaching for his gun. I stared at Migé who got the idea and stood up, grabbing Bam by his collar and dragging him out back, the shop owner followed.
Burton, Lindé, and Gas seemed to be staring at the dog who was still snarling at where Bam had left.
“What was that all about?” I asked, they shrugged and watched Migé come out without Bam.
“Ville you need to come talk to Bam he’s going insane.” He whispers in my ear as he walks back out to the small garden in the back. I follow along with the remaining group on our table to see what had caused Bam to go crazy like that.
I spot the black wolf pacing back and forth and walk over.
“What was all that about?” I ask, making him stop in his tracks and stare at me.
“That wolf is a traitor; it hunts us down instead, like all the other werewolves and shape shifters, protecting our kind. It’s bloody strong and can kill one of us if it had the chance.” I didn’t know much about the werewolf side of darkness, but all I could say was that didn’t sound at all good for their kind.
“There are loads more in existence, but that one that Bam would have attacked without hesitation, would have killed him immediately. Those two are a team, that wolf pins of distracts and the hunter shoots us with silver bullets.” The bar owner muttered.
“Joseph Frantz, is there any way you could make them leave?” I asked the bar owner, using his full name to make sure he heard me.
“I’m sorry, but that wolf knows we’re shape shifters and I won’t go near it. It almost killed me once if it wasn’t for Bam.”
My Bam-Bam is becoming a modern hero. I rolled my eyes at the thought but stopped all movement. A loud gunshot rang out through the bar and I knew it wasn’t a good sign. Bam rushes out to the front before anyone could stop him.
“Bam!” I shout, thanking whatever god up there that everyone was too interested in the blood scene.
I rush out front and saw Bam charging at the wolf, he snapped at the wolf and got him to back off. The man aimed his gun at Bam so I leaped over the bar, knocking the wind out of him and grabbing the gun. I didn’t expect him to have a handgun and he shot at Bam before I could do anything about it.
Bam whimpered and limped backwards, getting knocked back as the wolf charged at him. I tried to stop anything, but Migé dragged me back, I tried to break free but was unable to. Bam changed back into his human form and I knew some members in the bar gasped, I saw his blue eyes flickering with fear and pain as he fell to his knees. He turned his head to me and gave me a half smile, before falling to the ground.
sorry for all the errors and stuff but it is only a draft XD
