well when you are in the text window not the html window
you have this button with straight lines and a curvy one below it
if you go over it with your cursor it sais lj cut
select the text you want behind it
then press that button
name it
et voila :)

Need help with the cut? The mods might delete it if you don't fix it. I'll just give you a quick example. Click edit and paste the first code <*lj-cut*> above the word prologue (below the authors note) and paste the second code <*/lj-cut*> at the end of the story, but remove the stars to make it work.
