MOD POST/ Layout Contest.
Watch my head break trying to figure this out.
We want a make over. A face lift. A new, pretty look.
So we're going to have a layout contest. A flip-side for those of you who can't/don't want to write.
I understand that creating a banner and coding a layout is tough work, so you're going to get a little bit of time to create this. We're nothing if not fair. Now, we've never actually run a layout contest before, so this should be interesting.
What the layout MUST have:
- A banner. A decent sized one, please. MUST be Ville/Bam related and MUST have the community name on it somewhere.
- A space for out links. These are very important.
- Stuff.
- Things.
- It's got to at least look aesthetically pleasing. Remember, this will be the community layout - as in, what EVERYONE will see.
- It MUST be a layout that can be applied to a basic account. 'kay?
So, HOW we want you to enter this competition:
1. Create your layout. Obviously.
2. Set you layout up in a test journal, or your own journal.
3. Screen-cap it.
4. Upload the screen cap to photobucket, or something.
5. Email the screen-cap link (and, if possible, the link to the test journal) to either dakillercockroach@hotmail.com OR hundredshadesofgrey@hotmail.co.uk . It's a good idea to send it to both of us, that way at least one of us will get it.
We'll give you a while to submit you entries. After this time, we'll put each entry up for voting.
The winner will get... stuff. I mean, obviously they'll get to have everyone looking at their layout. Maybe they'll get a banner. If I can afford it, maybe they'll get a paid account. You never know.
Does this make sense? Good. Start making pretty layouts. The more, the better. If you're going to leave me a question asking how to create a layout, chances are this competition isn't for you...
