Vampire Heart - Chapter 10

Next Morning.
The next morning I awoke to Bam curled up, sleeping beside me. His forehead was against my cheek while his arms were around me careful not to touch the spot my wound was.
I could no longer feel the wound so it was either completely healed or almost healed.
Bam looked so innocent cuddled up to me sleeping, so adorable.
I sighed knowing I'd have to tell him today. I'd have to tell him everything. Who knows what he'll think of me then.
"Are you alright Ville?" he mumbled still mostly asleep. He must have heard me sigh.
"Yes," I replied kissing him on the head. How do you tell your boyfriend you aren’t alive?
Actually, I have a heart beat it's just slower then a human's. I'm surprised he hadn’t noticed. I needed my heart to pump the powerful dark blood through my body. The dark blood kept me alive. But I'm not really alive for I don’t exist in time. I will look how I do at this exact moment forevermore. Anyway back to my story.
Bam had fallen back to sleep against me but I didn’t feel like sleeping anymore. I had too much on my mind.
I carefully disentangled myself from him and stood up.
Where was I to go at the moment? I didn’t know. Maybe to Linde's to tell him what had happened the night before. Maybe just for a walk to think about what I had to do.
I quickly changed my clothes and was about to leave when Bam woke up.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
I shrugged and walked back over to the bed.
He pulled me down and kissed me.
I reluctantly pulled away and stood back up.
"What's wrong?" Bam asked frowning.
I looked backed at him and smiled despite what I had to tell him. "Let's go for a walk my darling."
"Alright," he said seemingly forgetting my actions of moments before. He scrambled out of bed and pulled his clothing back on.
Did I mention he wasn’t wearing anything? VILLE! Get a hold of yourself!
He pulled a hoodie on and then we left together after he made me put a coat on because it was cold out.
The early morning light shined off the fresh snow that laid about making everything it touched seem to sparkle. It would have been beautiful if there wasn’t so much on my mind.
Bam intertwined his fingers with mine and I couldn’t help but smile again.
"You're cold," he said.
Fuck! I'm going to have to feed after this. I forgot my temperature does down when I don’t feed. I'm usually always warm to a human. I like it that way because it could be extremely hot or freezing and it wouldn’t bother me. In other words I could wear a coat in the desert and nothing in the tundra. Not that I plan on walking around nude. But on with the story.
I walked with Bam over to a park bench where we both sat down.
We just sat there and talked for a while. Then I realized I had to tell him now. I was in love with him so much so I couldn’t keep it from him any longer.
"Bam, do you trust me?" I couldn’t look at him.
"Yes, why?" he replied.
"Do you love me?"
"Of course."
I sighed.
"What? Are you going back to Finland?"
I shook my head.
He brushed away the tear that had decided to make its way down my cheek.
"What if I told you that there are beings in this world that feed off humanity?"
"Ville, you are creeping me out. What's wrong?"
"Everything, everything is wrong with me." I let my fangs extend in my mouth. I explained all of it to him. Everything I could think to tell him about what I am. I left nothing hidden. When I was finished I showed him my elongated canine teeth.
He leapt to his feet. I could hear his heart beat racing.
"This is where you try to run away and I let you because I would NEVER hurt you." My gaze fell again.
"W-wait let me get this straight." I could tell he was trying to wrap his mind around it. "My boyfriend's a vampire?"
I sighed. "Yes my love."
"How is that possibly?! I'm dating a vampire?!"
I stood up and he flinched. I figured I should just get my stuff and go. The damage was done. I lost the one I loved. I willed myself from the spot to the guest room where I grabbed my stuff. Then I willed myself home.
Here is where I stop writing for now. In order for me to tell this story properly I must let Bam tell his side of it. So goodbye for now my darlings.

Bam's POV
My boyfriend was a vampire! How was that possible!
He stood up and I blinked in surprise I was too busy trying to figure out how I didn’t notice he was a vampire.
Holy shit, where had he just gone? One moment he's standing there and the next he was gone. All I did was blink my eyes and he was gone.
Man this was awesome! I needed to talk to him but I had no idea where he was. Maybe he's back at the house.
I found myself running as fast as my legs would carry me back to Castle Bam. When I got there I didn’t even shut the front door when I ran in.
"Ville?" I called. "Ville, are you here?" I rushed to the room I had lent him while calling his name.
I got there to find all his things gone minus a single note on the bed. I sat down out of breath to read it.
Dear Bam,
I'm so sorry my darling. If I could be human again I'd do it just for you. I love you more then you'll ever know, more then anything in my long life. That is why I had to tell you. It is why I had to leave. I don’t want to ruin your life. I didn’t want to lie to you. I knew the only way for us to be together is if you became what I am and I wasn’t going to take your life like mine was taken from me. I'm sorry my love. I'll love you always.
At the end he had signed it in cursive. By the end of the letter I was crying which isn’t something I do often.
Couldn’t we have worked something out? Did he have to go?
"Bam, honey, what's all the- Bam are you alright?" Ape had come into the room.
I shook my head. "Can you get me a plane ticket to Finland while I pack?"
