Title: Frozen To Lose It All
Pairing: Vam, Ville/Jonne
Rating: PG-13 to NC-17
Summary: Ville has been with Jonne for two years now and they want to start their life together. But, when Bam gets in the picture will it stay the same or will everything fall apart?
*Note* This will end up being a MPreg in later chapters. Also, Jonne is a few years older in this since I didn't want Ville to be considered a molester. :p
Disclaimer: If I owned Ville, Bam, or Jonne do you really think I'd be writing??

“So you have a band out here?” Gerard asked, sipping on his cup of coffee. Jonne nodded, trying not to blush.
“Yeah, we’re signed, but our albums are only released in Europe. Truthfully, I’m kind of glad about it.” Gerard cocked his head.
“Why?”
“I don’t know… I guess I don’t want to fail over there.”
“I doubt you will. I mean, hell, look at HIM.” Jonne looked down, taking a drag on his cigarette. “Uh…did I say something?”
“Ville Valo’s my ex-fiancé.” Gerard got a look of defeat on his puppy dog face. “It’s okay…we’re still friends, it’s just…I was always living in his shadow for like four years.”
“How?”
“He was the successful one…I was like the ‘He’s good, but not as good as those other guys…’ Gerard shrugged.
“I got that, too, for years. Everyone told me that I was shit, but I ignored it. I told myself that I kicked ass and I knew it. That’s how we made it as far as we did.” Jonne nodded, soaking in everything he was saying. There was something about Gerard that struck him. It was almost like a spark, or a glow.
“I’ll try that.” Gerard lit up a cigarette, taking a long drag.
“You never know…maybe it’ll work.”
“Damian, knock it off!” Ville yelled, trying to control his active toddler. Damian threw a toy at Ville, hitting his forehead. About to yell once more, the pain returned in his back again that made him cry out. Ville slowly walked to the refrigerator, where they kept the pain killers, and tried to reach.
“Damnit,” he hissed when he couldn’t get the bottle. Ville looked around before grabbing a swivel chair and retrieved the bottle just as Damian ran by. “Damian, don’t-“ Damian knocked the chair, sending Ville falling, his knee colliding with the counter, then floor.
“What happened?” Bam yelled, rushing out of their room. Ville tried to explain, but was unable to with his sobs. He gripped his obviously broken knee while Bam kneeled down next to him. “Oh God, baby, are you okay?”
“B-Bam it-it h-h-hurts!”
“I know, sweetie. C’mon, we’ll go to the hospital.” Ville shook his head.
“Th-The k-kids…”
“I’ll call Mige, hold on.” Bam quickly dialed the phone number and informed the bassist on the situation. “He’s gunning it over now.” He began to pet Ville’s now sweaty hair as Ella came out and did the same. Mige came a few minutes later and tried to help Bam get Ville up.
“C’mon,” Mige encouraged. “You can do it.”
“It h-hurts,” he cried. Bam carefully swooped Ville into his arms as Ella followed.
“Ella, hunny, you have to stay with me,” Mige said, reaching his hand out. She huffed.
“No, I wanna be with Willa!” Bam shook his head, going for the door.
“Baby, you can’t-“
“Bam,” Ville groaned. “Just l-let h-her c-come…” Mige helped her get her coat on as she ran to the car with them. Bam laid Ville down in the back seat, Ella holding his head in her lap.
“It’ll be okay,” Bam cooed, speeding to the hospital. They made it there in most likely record time and immediately got Ville into X-ray while Ella and Bam waited.
“Willa’s gonna be okay, right?” she asked.
“Oh yeah. Willa’s tough, he’ll be fine.” At that moment, a nurse came out and informed them that they could see Ville. They walked into the hospital room to find Ville lying in a bed, hooked up to an IV. “Vil’?”
“Did they tell you anything?” he asked frantically. Bam shook his head.
“No, why?”
“Bammie, they-they asked me what happened and I told them about my back, so they t-took the X-rays and put me here…oh God, what if something’s wrong with my back?!” Bam sat on the bed, putting a finger to Ville’s lips.
“Shh…calm down, it’s probably nothing. Maybe they admitted you cause you’re dehydrated.”
“R-really?”
“Yeah, don’t worry.” Ville bit his lip and looked in the corner, completely forgetting that Ella was there.
“Oh, sweetie, c’mere,” he said gently, holding his arms out. She slowly sat on the bed, hugging him. “Are you okay? I didn’t mean to ignore you, kulta.”
“I know…is your knee okay?”
“I don’t know yet, the doctor didn’t tell me. Baby, you must be starving, Bam could you take her for something…and-and call Mizee.”
“Yeah, c’mon El! We’ll be right back.”
“If you could be any animal in the world what would you be?” Jonne thought for a moment, sticking his hands in his pockets.
“Um, a white cat with an owner that pampers me.” Gerard laughed and continued skating near him. There was an ice rink near the coffee shop they were at, so they figured it was a perfect opportunity to get to know each other more.
“Alright, what’s your favorite book?”
“’Winnie the Pooh.’”
“Why am I not surprised? Favorite movie?” Jonne opened his mouth, but Gerard stopped him. “Wait, ‘Piglets Big Adventure.’”
“You got it…okay, my turn.” Jonne skated next to him. “Favorite band?”
“Ooh, that’s a tough one…umm…The Misfits.”
“Favorite lyric you’ve ever written?”
“’Oh, how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying’,” he said with a smile. “It’s from this song called ‘Our Lady of Sorrow.’”
“Your hero?”
“My grandma.”
“Favorite moment in Europe.” Gerard stopped skating, grabbing Jonne’s hand.
“This one’s climbing the charts.” Blushing, Jonne smiled shyly, somehow getting even closer to him.
“Ville?” A doctor asked, knocking at his door. He came in, holding a large envelope in his hands. “I have your X-rays from your knee and back.”
“Why’d you take them of my back, too?” He sighed.
“Well, let me show these to you.” Ville furrowed his brow, watching the doctor light the X-rays. “This is your spinal column right here,” he pointed with a pen. “Now, you see how it gradually gets smaller as you go down?”
“Y-yeah…”
“That’s your spinal chord…and it’s alarming to us that it’s shrinking like that.” Ville’s hands began to shake, so he quickly placed them underneath the blanket. “We’d like to do a MRI to get a clearer diagnosis, and we’d also like to get a spinal tap.”
“Um,” he said shakily. “When-when’d you wanna do all this?”
“When’s best for you?” Ville swallowed, running his hand through his hair. “The sooner the better, you know.”
“I…can-can I come back for it?”
“Sure, I’ll have the nurse schedule it. You’ll be discharged once we get the cast on.” He put the other X-ray on the light box and explained the condition of his broken knee, telling him what to do. He then excited the room, leaving Ville alone.
‘Something’s wrong,’ he though. ‘Oh God, what if…oh God…’ During that time, Bam came back in with Ella.
“What’d the doctor say?”
“My knee’s broken…”
“I knew that, I mean with your back.” Ville took a breath, exhaling roughly.
“It’s a slipped disk.”

“Are you sure you don’t want me to go in with you?” Bam asked, stopping in front of the hospital entrance. “It’s no problem.” Ville shook his head.
“No, I’ll be fine. Plus, watching me do stretches for my back isn’t too thrilling.” Bam sighed, finally giving up.
“Alright, call me when you’re done.”
“I will, I love you.” Ville leaned in, kissing his husband.
“I love you, too.” Carefully, Ville got out of the car, using his crutches to get to the door. When he got inside and made sure Bam was gone, he got into the elevator, going up to the third floor. It wasn’t that Ville wanted to lie to Bam, but he knew Bam didn’t need anymore stress than he had. Exiting the elevator, Ville limped painfully to his doctor’s office. It didn’t take long to prep him for the procedure, so all that was left was for Ville to wait.
“Hey there, Ville,” the doctor said cheerfully.
“Hi…”
“Listen, I know you’re a little nervous, but we’ll give you a numbing anesthetic first to make it less painful.” Ville bit his lip, thinking about when Bam had his spinal tap.
‘This is gonna suck so bad…’ he thought to himself. A few nurses came in holding a tray as the doctor ordered Ville to roll on his side.
“Okay, you’re going to feel a pinch. Take a breath…” He inserted the needle, causing tears to come to Ville’s eyes the second he felt the burning. “I’ll need you to stay very still for me while I start the drip…” Putting the second needle in, Ville felt more pain than his back had ever caused in his life. It seemed to last forever, but finally the doctor stopped the drip. Ville lay in the bed for awhile like they had instructed, trying not to think about what could happen with the results.
“Bam,” Ville said over the phone. “You can come pick me up now.”
“How’d it go?” He bit his lip.
“It…It was fine. Painful, but fine.” Bam laughed sympathetically.
“Alright, meet me in the front, okay?”
“Yeah…”
“I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
‘I’m such an asshole,’ Jonne thought, applying some powder blue eye shadow in the mirror.'I’m cheating…well, no I’m not. We haven’t done anything yet, just went for coffee…and ice skating…which was fun.’ He smiled, fixing his hair. Going into the bedroom, he bundled up Katja and put her in her stroller.
“We’re you going?” Christus asked as they came out.
“I’m just gonna take her for a walk. We’ll be back in a little while,” he smiled, looking at his daughter.
“I want you back at seven,” he replied coldly, staring at the television screen. Jonne’s face fell, going out the door.
“Ville, stop waiting on me,” Kari said, huffing. “I’m not a baby.” Ville limped towards him, trying his best to hold a bottle of water and a pill bottle.
“It’s okay, I can get around fine. I can still drive, too, so I’ll be able to take you to our chemo.” Kari sighed and took the pills and water from his son.
“Your knee is broken; I should be the one driving you.” Ville laughed, limping out into the kitchen to find Ella decorating cookies with Anita.
“Willa,” Ella smiled. “You want some frosting?” He tilted his head, giggling.
“No, it’s okay. You can get the sugar high.” Dipping her finger in the leftover frosting, Ella licked up the liquid while Ville shook his head. “Bammie’s dealing with you tonight.”
“The hell I am,” Bam called from the living room. “You’re not sticking the demons with me.” Ville rolled his eyes, smiling, and went where Bam was sitting. ”Sup, sexy?”
“You’re such a dork,” Ville laughed, sitting close to him and laying his head on Bam’s shoulder. He yawned while Bam began to pet his hair.
“Tired?”
“Horribly,” he sighed. Bam clucked his tongue, kissing his forehead.
“Well, I’ll take the pups tonight if you want so you can get some rest.” Ville nodded, nuzzling into Bam’s neck. “Damn, that therapy must’ve really hit you hard, huh?” His stomach dropped as he cleared his throat.
“Uh, y-yeah…plus, taking care of the kids and my dad…and the album-Oh, fuck, the album!” Bam laughed, rubbing his shoulder.
“Seppo called and said it sold 11,000 copies last week. You’re good, don’t worry.” Ville sighed, looking at the clock, as he got up to go back into the kitchen. He limped towards the bedroom, only to hear sounds of gagging coming from the bathroom.
“Shit,” he muttered, finding Kari hunched over the toilet. Wetting his forehead, Ville waited until he was done and wiped his forehead off. “C’mon, I got you…” Kari held onto him, while Ville painfully walked on his knee. He bit his lip to keep from screaming and helped Kari get back into bed. “You need anything?”
“No…I’m-I’m fine…” Ville grabbed his crutches again, steadying himself. “Don’t walk on that-that knee.”
“I know, Daddy,” he sighed.
“I don’t mean to burden you…” Ville shook his head, sitting down on the bed.
“You’re not, don’t worry. I’m just…I have things on my mind.” Kari pulled the covers up higher on him before he eyed his son to go on. “I don’t wanna talk about it…”
“Ville,” he said sternly.
“Don’t tell anybody, okay?” Ville said quietly. Kari nodded in agreement. “My…My doctor took a X-ray of my back, and…and he said that my spine got smaller at the end…so, he gave me a spinal tap, and I have to get a MRI…” Kari placed his hand ontop of Ville’s.
“Oh, my Ville…”
“I’m so scared, Daddy, I don’t know what to do…”
“It’ll be alright. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about,” he assured lovingly. “But…you know I’ll be there for you, poika.” Ville smiled, hugging him gently.
“I love you, Daddy…”
“I love you, too, son.”
“Hey…who’s this?” Gerard asked, looking in the stroller. Jonne giggled.
“Oh, this is my daughter, Katja. She’s only about a month old.” He smiled, taking her hand.
“Aw, hi, cutie,” Gerard cooed. “You look just like your daddy…wait, she’s a month?” Jonne nodded, furrowing his brow.
“Yeah, why?”
“You’re with somebody…”
“Um…I have to talk to you about that actually…” Gerard chewed on the inside of his cheek while Jonne took Katja in his arms. “I’m not exactly ‘in a relationship,’ but I am with someone.”
“Wait…what?” Jonne sighed, looking down.
“He…He hits me…a lot, so I’m gonna leave him and probably gonna go back to live with Ville, but I don’t want to be with him…and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner-“
“Jonne, stop… I get it.” He looked up quickly and sighed.
“You-you do?” Gerard nodded.
“My ex-boyfriend…he hit me, too.”
