We all have a place we love to go to, just somewhere to clear our minds of the fog of thoughts and hopeless wonders. Words we never want to hear or speak taking a release from their tight grasp upon our helpless tongues, the sanity finally returning to our minds as we silently watch our hours tick by. Days turning to nights. But for me, this secret area is the water. The bright blue it shines in the light of another meaningless day giving me hope for a future I know will never exist. My days and nights are spent under that pearled lunar, taking in the sweet smell of salt and fresh air that remains untainted by man's chemical destruction.

And this night, like all the others, I find myself in front of this expansion of endless beauty. Watching the waves that seem to grow bigger with each wind that crosses their path, brushing hair from my face with mother natures gentle hands, the stray hairs tickling my sensitive skin. Tonight, though, it is different. Tonight is the night of the comets and tonight...I'm not alone.

She follows me down to the sound of the sea
Slips through the sand and stares up at me

I don't know where he finally caught me, finally found out where I had been wandering all those lonely times. He must have followed me, watched as I made my way from the annoyances and shouts of the happy crowd and crying friends. A day to be happy, another day for the world to rejoice, celebrate the beauty we are slowly destroying. Heh, he always did say I ranted too much about this world. Maybe he's right.

Is this how it happens?
Is this how it feels?

He's watching me now, that look in his eyes. It's always scared me to see it, always pushed my thoughts of confession so far back.

Is this how a star falls?
Is this how a star falls?

One. We're counting them now, silently watching as the stars start to appear above our heads, shining their vivid reflection in the deep pools of his eyes. He's gorgeous you know, an angel in wolfs clothing and I've realized, this lighting should stay forever. Because tonight, he has never looked more beautiful. He's talking now, a small question. A question about the comets and their fall.

The night turns as I try to explain
Irresistible attraction and orbital plane
Maybe it's more like a moth to a flame

I'm staring now and I know it, his question hanging in the air as if written by his very own hands. And I'm sitting here, trying to think of a way to explain this to him and not just the comets, to tell my true feelings. To let words flow so freely from my lips and maybe...maybe he'll smile at me.

She pushes my face with heris smile
Forget about stars for a while!

He's staring at me now, our eyes locked in a death match neither of us want to break from and in this moment. This very hour, I realize what I must do.

She melts

He's watching my lips move, the words I've longed to utter, falling in whispers from my lips. Barely audio able above the crash and sputter of waves and the twinkle of stars.

Meanwhile millions of miles away in space
The incoming comet crashes Jupiter's face
And disappears away with barely a trace

his eyes turn now, my words clinging to the air for dear life, begging for his acceptance. My eyes pleading for his love, but his eyes watch as the first comet makes it show. The bright star fading into the dark nothingness that now seems to surround us, bright stars and beautiful angels now forgotten.

Was that it?
Was that the Jupiter show?
It kinda wasn't quite what I'd hoped for, you know?
Pulling away, she stands up slow
Around herim the night turns

He's reaching a hand out to me, his eyes never once leaving the area that comet had once shined from, his pointer finger covering my lips as if to silence my already spoken thoughts. And that's when he asks it, his words echo in my mind as I watched him stand, his body shudders as the cool sea breath blows the stray sand from his body. I watched him step away, I watch my world take leave, the moon no longer bright upon his flawless skin.

Around herim the night turns
Yeah, that was it
That was the Jupiter Crash
Drawn too close and gone in a flash
Just a few bruises in the region of the splash

And in my last minutes, with my last few breaths I cried for the one who I had lost. His steps echoing in time with the splash of waves to these cold shores, as I bid farewell to a love forlorn.

She left to the sound of the sea
She just drifted away from me
Yeah so much for gravity
