I saw the smile
I thought I had lost
I could sense the warmth
I thought I would never find again
There was no hug
But that will come in due time
She was gone today
And I was glad
I got my piece of happiness
That I had wanted for so long
You looked like you didn’t care
Like you wouldn’t tell
But I’m not so sure
I don’t want you to tell
I don’t want her to know
I want it to just be me and you
In secrecy if we must
I just want to be with you

I saw you skating
How your body looked
As it moved with the board
I dropped my mouth
And called your name from inside the car
It was as though you had heard me
But you couldn’t see me
I sat there
As you stood and stared
Hoping you were thinking of me
And her no longer
I want all of you
And I don’t care
I’ve held onto this moment
It might start over again
And I hope this is it
