So, we the mods have recieved a few complaints over time, and we've generally been thinking about this a while, so we're actually going to address the subject of fic-banners.
We do have a rule that asks for large pictures to be put under a cut, but it's such a bendable rule that it only applies to pictures that stretch friends lists. Mainly mine, because mine's pretty.
I also remember a while back that a couple of people mentioned they were still on dial-up, so with the latest trend of making a banner for every story, thier flist can end up pretty image-heavy.
That, and to be honest, some of them just suck.
With all that in mind, we're asking you to vote. Leave a comment here (all comments screened, of course), with your opinon on what we should do about this. Do we leave it how it is? Do we ask ALL story banners to be put under a cut? Do we ban story banners altogether? Do we put a pixel-limitation on banners-outside-the-cut?
Please vote. The more people who leave thier opinion, the more likely we are to get a majority opinion and develop a general consenus.
Please understand that Heidi and I are just doing this to make this place more enjoyable, and we can only do that with the help of you guys, the members.
Also, what do you guys all think about a new layout? Or a layout contest?
