“Not Even in Dreams”
I had a dream last night, and you were in it. We were at my house, as always, and we were joking and laughing like we always do when we’re together. That’s why I love being with you, you’re always making me laugh and smile like no one else can, what you do to me can’t be explained in mere words.
I pulled you aside, to be alone with you and only you, and looked up deeply into your beautiful emerald eyes before I pressed my lips to yours in a soft, quick kiss. My god, I didn’t think lips could be that soft. As quick as it began, I ended it, pulling away and again staring deeply into your eyes, trying to send the message that I loved you. I sent that message before you couldn’t even stand my presence anymore and started walking away, and then even running away from me. I tried to hold you back, hugging you around the middle, pleading with you that I was sorry, it was a mistake. I tried to bury all of my feeling for you as you tore me off of you, running into her arms. You kissed her as deeply as you could, trying to get the taste of me off of your oh-so-soft lips.
It was then I woke up in a cold sweat on the couch, the television turned to some random movie. That was the moment I realized that now even in dreams could we be together.
