I GOT ANOTHER RAISE! $2.00/hour or $4000 dollars a year more for meeee.
Not to be a bragger, but for the record, thats my 4th significant raise in 21 months.
Whats the reason?
In about two weeks time, I will be transfering to Bluenotes in Yorkdale Mall. One of about 10-15 double A volume stores in the chain. (This particular store does 2.8 Million dollars a year.) I will be titled Associate Manager, which basically means I am second in command to the operations in the store. There is some big shot manager from The Gap coming in to apparently turn the place around because it hasn't been making sales in the past year and a half. And they are transfering me there to help out temporarily, and basically when a new store opens up or a store manager at another location resigns, I will be placed into that store.
Basically, what happened is my old manager was transferred to Yorkdale but she isn't happy there, so they are transfering her back to Dufferin (my current store) to take my place, and sending me in her place to Yorkdale. However, my required experience isn't nearly at the level of Yorkdale, which is absolutely true... so they are making me second in command, and when another store comes along, I'm to be placed there.
So, I'm sort of being paid more to be placed in limbo without a real "home store."
