Hours - or maybe it was days - later my head was still pounding like someone was beating me with a hammer. It hurt and I was slightly thankful for the darkness because light would just make it that much worse

Keep digging. Keep digging. I have to keep digging, if I can dig away a hole I have a better chance of getting out of here. Wherever here was.
I'm not sure how long I was clawing away at the crack in the wall, pulling the dirt and decaying cement away from the wall. My fingers were already raw and had started to bleed a while back when my nails started to crack down the middle. The pads of my fingers were raw and numb.
The tears ran down my face from the pain and I was trying so hard not to give up, but it was getting harder to ignore it. I wanted to give up, I wanted to just curl up in a corner and let whatever happened, happen. But I couldn't, something kept me going so I kept digging away, hoping but not seeing if I made any progress.
I paused when I heard a sound, sitting up I listened and then I thought I heard it again but there was silence. "H-hello?" No answer again. I must be hearing things, something's playing tricks on me and I can't even think anymore.
Biting my lip I sighed and kept digging, hoping that on the other side there was hope of some kind.
To be quite honest, it went far to easy. The man wasn’t even really paying attention, nor did it take great force to knock him out. I’m not a Slayer, but I do train with one. I have *some* force, but I hardly used it at all. Raising my eyebrows, I watched the chap sink to the floor rather ungracefully. That went far to easy indeed.
I dragged the man over to the room across the hall, making sure it was empty before dumping him there. I used his own tie and some sheets from the bed in the room tie him up. Wouldn’t want him to wake up and run out to hit the alarm on us now would we. No, we really don’t wish that. All that work for nothing
After that was done, I snuk out of the room and tip-toed over to the one he’d been guarding. Still no other guards in sight. He really must be one arrogant bastard. The small ball of light was bobbing up and down the door, telling me with certainty that this is where they were keeping Miss McClay. I kept my ears open for any kind of trouble Faith might get it, this is my Slayer we’re talking about after all.
When I pressed my ear to the door, I frowned when I heard the sound of digging. Digging? Strange. Moving away the deadbolts from the outside and using the key I had stolen from the guard, I carefully opened the door and peeked inside. “Miss McClay?”
My fingers were raw and numb by now, all I could smell was dirt and my own blood as I made the hole deeper. "Can't stop..." I murmured, nearly desperate to give up. Couldn't give up, had to get out. I didn't come this far to die like this; not like an animal in some room where nobody would remember me.
There was a sound and I jumped, hurrying to one of the far corners and shielding my eyes when the light came pouring in. There was a man and he said my name, pausing a moment it sounded familiar. "M-mister Pryce?"
I sighed and nearly started to cry when I saw his shadow. "H-how did? You found me..." I smiled just slightly and it felt good that someone came looking for me, wherever I was. I wondered how he found me at all, how he knew where I was.
"W-where's Faith? Is umm...is she ok?" I tucked my hair behind my ear, crying out and holding my hand against myself, my fingers beyond raw even as I hoped whatever took me wasn't after faith as well. Looking up at Mr. Pryce with a pained expression. "Are you ok as well? H-how did...how'd you find me?"
The room was rather dark and smelled musky. It must be a rather old house the git uses. I was very worried about Faith. She was going to take on the Immortal alone if we didn’t hurry up. I knew my Slayer, she was very impatient in general, but even more so when her hands were itching and she was in full Slayer mode.
Opening the door further, I let my eyes adjust to the darkness, only turning my head toward the timid voice of Tara. When she finally came into view, looking a bit worse for wear but otherwise fine, I couldn’t help but smile.
“Magic,’ I told her, pointing at the little light which was now bobbing up and down near us. A slight smile lifted the corners of my mouth as she glanced at it surprised. “Such a simple thing, really, but quite effective.”
Putting my hand on her shoulder, I quickly but quietly ushered her out of the room. We’d better get move on before someone really notices us. “Faith is fine, but she went to look for him and be a decoy. We’d best hurry up and find her or she’s quite capable of taking on the bloody wanker on her own and---” My voice trailed of as I looked at her a bit ashamed. “Err…Pardon my language, Miss McClay, but we really do need to hurry up.”
I smiled a bit when he showed me the locator light, I knew Mr. Pryce was smart and all but I didn't know he knew the smaller tricks of magick, if this were any other situation then I would have asked him to tell me more about what he knew sometime and such, it's been so long since I had anyone to talk to about magick and it was just a nice feeling not to feel like a total freak.
But now wasn't the time for things and thoughts like this. We had to get out of here and help Faith, my hands were bleeding and she was up against the Immortal so she needed our help.
Mr. Pryce placed his arm on me and led me out of the room, I used the edges of my shirt to try and soothe my fingers but I was too nervous to feel calm about anything. I just needed to get calm enough to help Mr. Pryce and Faith get rid of the Immortal, then maybe I could sleep for a while...
I smiled slightly and felt my cheeks blush. "It-it's ok Mr. Pryce..." I bit my lip and followed him down to where we heard fighting. "Umm...w-what...are we going to be able to h-help here? N-now like this? I hoped so and I hoped he knew what to do.
“Yes, well, still dreadfully sorry. Being in a bit of a tight spot doesn’t really excuse the use of such coarse language.” I kept my grip on her arm, even though she seemed a bit more steady on her feet. Wasn’t about to take a chance though. She may look tough now, but there was a stubborn set to her jaw I only recognized to well. I’d seen it often enough. On Faith. Or when I looked in the mirror.
I ushered her down the corridors, hoping to god we wouldn’t run into anyone else. Or even worse, get lost. That would only happen to me wouldn’t it? But this place was just so bloody monstrous, it was absurd. The thought did occur to me that this Immortal chap was trying to make up for lacking in certain…other area’s. But luck seemed to be on our side as I hurried down the halls, they did look familiar.
“You know the spell by memory,” I told her, hoping to god she did. I knew I had memorized it, but I could hardly expect a young girl like Tara to do the same. I know she was aware of what really was out there, but I still didn’t feel very comfortable putting her on the spot like that. “We perform the spell, from a safe distance, and then stand back and watch Faith kick his bloody arse.” In theory, that sounded just fine. And it would work just fine as well.
“Oh,” I cleared my throat as I held her hand, nearly dragging her further away from where they’d been keeping her. “Terribly sorry, I am a little…upset.” Till, no excuse to use such rude language.
