Alright, so obviously I fucked something up earlier. It wasn't like I had a lot of experience in makin' nice with people. Slayer. She alone. Blah blah blah, Wes made me memorize that speech with how often he'd said to me over the years. But honestly, the fact that I had no friends didn't really have much to do with me bein' the slayer. More to do

"We don't have time for this, Tara." I said just as another thump from the door echoed through the room. Both of us jumped and turned to stare at it for a minute. "We gotta do something about those guys, they're all over the place."
Glancing up at her I saw that she looked frustrated because I wouldn't let her do...whatever it was she was doing. I could take care of myself. Standing up quickly, I walked to the door and thought about runnin' back out there. Wondered if she had anything I could use for a weapon. Frowning I glanced up at the fire alarm and a thought began to spurn in my brain.
"Is there anything you can do? I think he called them up with some magick stuff." I said, careful not to use the word crap in case I offended Miss Wicked Sensitive.
"I can fight them, there's just...there's a ton of 'em. Zombies? Pretty easy slice and dice but they just don't stop comin'."

But again, I don't say it, only think it. I sighed and shook my head. putting down the bloody cloth and walking over to one of the book shelves. "Yeah, I t-think I have something." I sounded like I had more confidence then I actually did.
The banging and rattling on the door wasn't helping my nerves any but I needed to keep a level head here, somehow.
"T-there's a spell...a blackout of sorts..." I murmured pulling the book down and quickly flipping the pages. "It'll take out all magick in about h-half the town..." I muttered nervously. That would leave me without my magick for who knows how long and all the zombies might either disappear or end up piles of bodies outside the door.
Either way, I had no choice. Nervously chewing my lip I sat on the edge of the bed and took a few deep breaths before I started to chant the spell softly, hoping it would work long enough.

"Look, just do whatever you can. I have to get back out there." My eyes trailed to the fire alarm again and I set my jaw into a hard line. Taking a deep breath I finally turned back to Tara again. "I have to. Shove the desk back under the doorknob as soon as I'm gone." I instructed her as I yanked the desk away from the door. The zombie immediately began pushing the door open and I leaned on it sharply.
"Ready?" I asked her, and instead of waitin' for an answer I flung the door open and disappeared on the other side of it. I could hear the sharp clunk of the desk hitting the door on the other side before I was swarmed with zombies. They were ignoring all of the other people in the hallway now. They wanted me.
Fighting my way through the throng of dead skeletons I finally found what I'd been looking for. Smashing my elbow into the glass the tinkering of glass hitting the floor flooded the hallway before I grabbed the fire hose.
With a smirk I turned the water on full blast and aimed the hose at the mass of them. The water hit them and began forcefully knocking them all on their asses. I snickered as I watched 'em.
But as soon as I knocked a few down more started appearing at the end of the hallway. Pressing my back into the wall they kept edging closer and closer as I sprayed them with the water.
Come on, Tara.

If she would only give me time to react, then again Faith doesn't work on reaction just pure instinct. Before I knew it she was out the door, leaving me alone in the room with her out there and me to push this desk against the door.
I dropped the book and hurried over, trying to move it but the legs were stuck on the wood floor and it was a bit heavy for me to push. I used my last resort and used magick to push it solidly against the door.
There was a crash that I could hear down the hall before the splash of water and my feet getting wet told me that Faith must have used the fire hose down at the end of the hall.
Guess this was my que.
Taking a deep breath I hurried back to the bed and crossed my legs, finding my page again I started chanting the spell, getting a bit dizzy as I read further down the page. I could feel the spell working as it drained the magick from the surrounding area with a steady slowness.
The room started to spin even more but I held onto the book tightly as I finished the passage, looking up at the door and waiting to see if it worked.

"Tara." I said softly. "You can move the desk now, they're all gone."
A few seconds later I heard the desk slowly pushed backwards, the doorknob shifting under my fingertips as she opened it and peeked out.
"Whatever you did. It fucking worked." I smiled at her as I walked the rest of the way in the room before she shut the door again. Man, I was starving. We'd have pizza right now too, if it wasn't for the Immortal. Couldn't wait to end that bastard before he annoyed me to death. Zombie army? Seriously lame. At least come up with something original. Like...an army of rabid bunnies or something.

She was smiling and I nodded slowly, glad that the spell worked, taking slow deep breath's I moved back over to the bed. I wasn't sure how exactly I was feeling but I didn't feel quite right.
"Y-yeah," I licked my lips and rested my head in my hands. "I can f-feel it." I took a few slow and deep breaths before looking back up at her, smiling just slightly. "I'm ok, I'll b-be ok." I stood up - still a bit unsteady on my feet - and looked her over, noticing a deep scratch on her arm. "Are you ok? C-can I look at that now?" I licked my lips and looked up at her, wishing the room would stop spinning.

Guessed not as her fingers wrapped around my arm as she pulled me back over to that chair. With a sigh I sat down as she started running the damp cloth against the trauma. I was fine. Zombies? No big deal. Course the Immortal was kind've a big deal, but I was used to his crap by now. Zombie army was a new one. Least they were easy to slay.
"Thanks for the bail back there....again." It occured to me that this was the second time she'd saved my ass. Well, okay not saved just sorta made things conveniant for me. I wouldn't eventually killed that one vamp and this...army of zombies. Eventually. Probably. Definitely.

Why does my stomach sink whenever I think of that? Maybe because it means death and chaos. Maybe even mine.
A small smile crossed my lips and I nodded as I finished cleaning her arm. "You're welcome." I knew it took a lot for her to say that and it was sweet that she did so. "I-is there um anything else you need help with?" I nervously chewed my bottom lip and looked at her. "I h-haven't gone shopping so I don't um have anything really to eat, maybe a coke..." I busied myself as I put the first aid kit away, throwing out the used cotton as my mind kept spinning about what I did. Hopefully it will wear off like it's supposed to, in a few hours.
Being without magick made me nervous, I felt helpless. I left home to stop feeling like that. Maybe...maybe Faith will stay for a little while...
Crossing my arms and shrugging slightly. "Ummm w-would you like pizza or maybe chinese? I c-can order something..." Just stay, please.

"Anything but pizza?" I requested with a frown, still thinkin' about my squashed pizza. "There's a diner up the street from here, it's not too bad. Plus. Pancakes all night long." I grinned at her hopin' to win her over to Bickford's in no time flat. Bickford's was my home for nasty bitter coffee and pancakes all the time.
She nodded at me and I stood up waitin' for her to get her coat as I glanced at the numerous bumps and bruises visible on my arm. Fingerprints of bony hands. No big deal. They'd be gone by mornin' for sure. Fuck. And the Immortal thought he could take me out that easy? Bitch please.
Course I was smart enough to know that it was more about playin' with me than anything else. He was testing me. I just wasn't sure why.

I'll be ok in a few hours, the spell would wear off and I'll be ok. Maybe Faith won't find out why I'm so jittery and such, hopefully she'll be oblivious to it and we can just have a semi-normal meal. Hopefully.
I took my jacket and my wallet before grabbing my keys and following Faith out of the door. Digging my hands in my pockets I followed close by her, reasuring that she knew where this place was that she was taking me.
"T-thanks." I murmured, glancing over at her and blushing slightly when my eyes met hers for a moment. I tucked my hair behind my ear and walked in step with her. "S-so um h-how did that happen?" I gestured behind us and back to the dorms. "W-was it the Immortal?" That was a bit obvious, Tara.

"I gotta do something about that guy." I muttered to Tara as we walked down the stairs and out into the chilly Boston autumn air. Wrapping my arms around myself protectively we fell into step beside eachother on the sidewalk. Knew exactly how long it took to get to Bickford's from campus. I spent alot of time there, drinkin' nasty old coffee and on rare occasions actually studying. "It's like he's not even scared of me, he's just playin' with me and it's pissin' me off something fierce."
I realized I was unconsciously balling my hands into two small fists at my sides as we walked. The Immortal just got me all wound up for real. Tryin' so hard to get under my skin with that charming smile of his. Sorry, that shit didn't fly with me. 'Sides, I don't swing that way...usually. Not unless I was desperate for a piece of ass and I'd never get desperate enough to fuck The Immortal. Mostly? I just wanted to kill him.

"W-we'll go see Wesley tomorrow, we'll do the s-spell and everything will be ok..." At least I hope so. I needed to take my own advice and calm down, I was going to be ok. I was around Faith and I could deal without using magick.
Not using and being without it are two different things.
We walked up and I opened the door for her and we walked in, I glanced around and smiled. It smelled good and the place looked reasonably nice. I'm surprised I haven't been here before. "This place, seems nice..." I looked over at her and smiled a bit, hoping that she could relax even just a bit while we were here. If she stayed so wound up like that it wasn't going to do her any good.

"Yeah. I come here alot. Course, nice isn't really the word I'd use for it. But it's cheap and the food ain't bad." I agreed as the waitress gave us a table. Opening the menu I started lookin' through it like I always did, even though I always ended up gettin' pancakes in the end.
"I was actually bringin' you a pizza earlier." I glanced up at Tara and smiled. "But then the Immortal showed up and pizza went splat."
It was all good now though, cause we had pancakes. And hey, no more zombies. I'd say that was a big check in the battle against evil column. At least for the night. Even though I knew after I walked Tara back to her dorm I'd do another sweep and take out some vamps before goin' to bed. Nothin' as soothin' as killing things before bed.
