Dear America:
On this very special day on which we celebrate our independence from despotism, and in a time of misguided hyper-patriotism, I'm especially proud to be part of your country. Accepting a war as somehow being morally right simply because it is done in the name of the country in which I hold citizenship is a favorite pasttime of mine. As for the importance of our troops, they are no more worthy than the yellow banner magnets I have posted for them on my car and must continue to put their lives on the line in order for us to gain strategic hold over the lucrative geopolitical region of the Middle East. Presenting librals and protestors in generalizations and absolutes, such as "anti-american" and "unpatriotic" simply because they do not value the rights and values of Americans more than they value the rights and values of other citizens of the world, is also especially cool.
I love you, America.
