After Brooke's Death

Brooke is dead. Connor couldn't explain why, he just looked sad and Dylan looked like..I can't talk about that. Maybe later.
It makes me scared, to love anybody. First my parents and now Brooke, everybody dies, all the time. And Connor is always going out to patrol and Dylan too and Dylan's just a regular person, like me. I started crying and saying that and Connor just hugged me and said that he would not let anything happen to either of us.
But why couldn't he have saved Brooke? I didn't want to ask but I guess Dylan could tell and he told me that he wished they could have, but they did not know - that they will be more careful now, with threats.
I'm just so scared.
