i am in dire need of more life experience and i have no idea how to get it being broke, inexperienced and having no sense of direction

You could always try enrolling in school for a more broad program, like sociology or something. I only say this because college = student loans = $$ to move/live somewhere else. And so many people today go to school for one thing and end up working in a completely different field. It just seems that type of degree matters less unless you want to do something really specialized.
Child care providers out here make a LOT of money as well; even just the part time providers. The girl I have is a 23 year old college student, and she actually didn't have a ton of experience either. I pay her $12/hr-$15/hr depending on day of the week, and that's pretty much the bare minimum out here. I found her on care.com, & a lot of child care providers on there charge $20-$40/hour. I'm sure it's the same in New York. Even if you worked part time, that's pretty great money. You can pick your jobs too which is nice, or find a steady family to work with too I bet.
Basically, do whatever you have to in order to get out of Milwaukee. It will be the best thing you ever did, and you won't regret it.
