My day just didn't start right.
As soon as I woke up, I should have known at that instant.
I woke up with a searing headache, got up and took some Advil before I got in the shower and got ready for the day.
Luckily my headache ceased by the time I left for school, so needless to say, I was very optimistic about my day. I mean, tomorrow's my last day of the week, so why wouldn't I be, right?
Well, I go to school, and drive myself the 10 minutes it takes to get there. I take my backpack out of my car (at least I haven't forgotten my backpack like that one time last year.. THAT was embarassing..) and start walking to math class. For some reason, my backpack felt kind of light, but I wasn't about to take a detour from my route to math class.
I get to math class, open my back pack and shuffle my things around looking for my notebook.. But no, it was gone. I had forgotten it at home.
And I know, you're thinking - it's JUST a notebook, but that notebook had ALL of my homework for the day. And, the part that hurt the most, it had all of my notes for my math test.
So minutes before the bell rings, I'm sitting there, pouring over the book and trying to copy down as many notes as I could.. And then the bell rang.
In came the rest of my class as they settled about and started working.
I looked around as they all hunched over their papers, and I just sat there dumbfounded.
Apparently my teacher gave them their test as they came in the door. Since I was in the classroom before he had the test in his hands, who didn't get a test?
Yes. That would be me.
And then the dumbass LEFT the room for 30 MINUTES. So I just SAT there for 30 minutes waiting. And he comes back, looks at me and says, "Kelli, you shouldn't be using your book." So I responded, "Why not? I'm just looking over notes." And then he gets a little riled up, "What? You haven't even STARTED yet?" And I was like, "How could I? You NEVER gave me the test!" And he just rolled his eyes and brought me one.
And there was an assembly today for Juniors to attend about registering for next year. As I heard, ALL juniors were supposed to attend. But since we had a test, too bad for us, apparently. He was like, "Well, they'll just have to talk to you tomorrow." Right. Whatever.
And most people didn't finish the test - it was LONG and time-consuming. But when people approached the teacher about coming in to finish, he refused. He told each of them, "Turn it in as is. You did what you could."
I didn't bother asking if I could finish. I was already running late, so I had to get going. But tomorrow I'm going to have to ask him, and I'm sure he'll say no.. And if/when he says no? I will be effing pissed.
It's not MY fault he didn't check to make sure all the students had a test before he runs out of the room.
Yay for the big F Kelli got today.
Rock on, me.
