Hasta La Victoria iSiempre! My Opinions On Che Guevara

From a Cuban-Honduran-American's P.O.V.,

Hey everyone! Just deciding to post my thoughts and opinions on Che Guevara and his ideals, as well as mine! IMPORTANT NOTE:I do NOT support the Cuban-Castro regime.

Speaking from my personal experiences in Cuba ( contrary to popular belief that Cuba is a hell hole, Central America is much worse and it is a "Democracy" .. I have been to both Honduras and Cuba ) the country that Fidel has promised to be a paradise still needs MUCH WORK to do but it is not the worst I've seen. They have alteast succeeded in ripping away from Imperialism and exploitation that America itself has done upon all Central and South American countries, including those in Asia. But even so, communism in itself does not work, therefore Cuba itself needs a change. If Che lived to be around during our times, I believe Cuba would be much different-If not, better.

Every government needs improvement-even in the U.S. However, I do believe that it is a resonpisbility to help those countries that are poor. Lift the embargo on Cuba already! Why does the U.S. proceed with business in China and Russia, even though those countries still uphold communist ideals and exploitation and are FAR WORSE than those of Cuba? Help the poor, but STOP the exploitation. When will America and the citizens of this country ( U.S. ) ever learn to stop being so greedy?

I agree with Che's ideas of helping the poor, and giving them a chance to succeed and live a comfortable life. Don't we all wish that everyone would have a fighting chance at living a good life? Those were the fundamentals that he fought and died for. ( Watch the movie 'The Motorcycle Diaries' and you will understand why Ernesto 'Che' Guevara came to those conclusions of anti-Imperialism ).

What I DON'T agree, is the use of violence, but sometimes a revolution calls for action. I am more of a pacifist I guess, but Che's ideas to help the poor, and his compassion to even fight for them is what inspires me to do the same.

Hasta La Victoria iSiempre!
