Not used to fixing things with my brain. Kinda like it.

See, over the past few days... nah, sod all that, everyone's already done the recappy bit in their own journals. Suffice it to say, ol' Spike came through again, saving the day at the last minute. Getting to be a hobby, really.

I'd expect an answer like that from a Spike fan.

And you're...what, being here and all, in Spike's journal? That really makes it seem like you have more the agenda than those who want the best for him.

Oh yeah, friends last forever. Friends who judge your every move and decision, who decide what's best for you despite what you feel in your heart. You wanna join the Scoobs, go on over there, and get out of Spike's journal. He's looking for advice for his love life, not someone to assert all of Buffy's life should be encompassed by the great and wonderful friends, and them alone. yeah, that's *real* healthy.

Friends have one place in life, love has another. Living life without one of those is only half of an existance.

Spike, I'm sorry this discussion is even going on and I wish you would turn off anonymous comments just to get rid of such trolls. However, know that love is not only about need. Love is so much stronger than need. It puts both of you at an equal level, somewhere you never quite were with Dru, you know? Give yourself the chance, give Buffy the chance to prove how much better this could be now.

sometime people, even adult, need someone else to decide whats best for them.

I'm not trying to start a fight here. I was merely responding to what I felt was a slight against the scoobies.

Give it a rest. You came to troll. The Scoobs don't need you or anyone else taking up for them. They are not perfect and they haven't been perfect friends to Buffy. That's just life.

I agree with everyone else, Spike. Buffy loves you. She needs you for all the little things you do without being asked. You support her, believe in her. You admire her, but don't place her on a pedestal, so high up that when she does fall, she's not devastated. That's true love. So, don't sweat it. You're the long haul guy.//end firewall//

I never said they were the perfect friends. Spike hasn't been perfect either though.

I'm going to go ahead and give Spike some advice, though I don't expect him to take it. Spike, you're a vampire. You don't breath, need sleep, food, water. You don't have a drivers license, birth certificate, job, etc. You won't age, you'll never die.

Buffy on the other hand does and hasd all those things. She will grow old and one day she will die. You need to ask yourself, are you whats best for her? If you really love her then what you care most about is what is best for her. Can you honestly say thats you? Angel had the guts to do the right thing, how about you?

Oh, *that's* right. *That's* how you prove your love to someone. You leave them. *smacks forehead* And here i thought Buffy had experienced enough of the men leaving her for their own selfish reasons, and might i add at least 3 of those men were human, all mortal and everything. Spike can give Buffy a lot more than a beating heart and wrinkles.

Right about now, it's incredibly clear you are simply out for yourself, for preaching your own beliefs and not at all what's best for Spike. Buffy can make up her own damn mind, give her some credit. I'm really not seeing what qualifies you to judge or lecture on what she needs the most. She's 23 years old. I'm pretty sure she's figured out that human does not equal perfect. And if you don't get that, I wonder what you're doing here.

Oh wait, i already answered that. Preaching your own agenda. Pfft. ,

Oh, I'm sorry., I wasdn't aware that what Spike wanted was a bunch of yes-men. Here I thought divergent views would be welcomed.

I'll make a note of it for future reference.

Yes, you do that. And while you're at it, why don't you stick your tongue out at me too.

I already told you I'm not gonna discuss this here.
If you want to discuss it, come to my journal and I can start giving you a list of reasons...

What I am gonna tell you is that nowhere in my initial post did I give a slight against the scoobies, nor did I deny their value to Buffy.

And i really don't think any of us hgere are qualified to tell Spike what to do, nor do i think he was asking *anyone* to tell him what to do.

I'm not trying to start a fight here.

Well, my dear, then you shouldn't start your response by saying, "I'd expect an answer like that from a Spike fan", thus negating all that person had ot say because you believe he/she is a Spikefan and that would color his/her opinion. And by saying that, you put people on the defensive and made it clear that you had your very own agenda.

I was merely responding to what I felt was a slight against the scoobies.

Um, in what way? He was talking about *himself*, about *his* relationship. I'm sure it's real unsual for a man to wonder about his place and standing with the woman he is love with. And that was all liliaeth was assuring Spike of. There is no reason to want to take that away from him. Unless, of course, you have your own agenda.
