Lions and Tigers and Bears
This was my first day volenterring at a local-ish zoo about an hour away. I helped feed and got to meet the animals on premisies. I handled hedgehogs and pet a coatamundi. The berncheron decided to climb on my back while putting food down. Very snugly. I scritched tigers, mountain lions, skunks, and elk. The babby pygmy goats also decided I would be fun to climb on as well. Also fed "Buck" the black bear who is getting ready for hibernation. Oh and got up close with some Kangaroos and other animals too. The babby tiger however was quite aghast at me scooping him up as she tried to escape her cage while beeing fed. How rude not being allowed to play!
