The greats will never truly die

I was hearing mass at Rockwell when I heard the news from Tyn-- she texted me saying that Dean Lorraine had just passed. It was expected, to say the least.. but I never would have thought that it would still hit you this hard. It was as if the world suddenly stopped moving, yourself included. A standstill.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26

She always had time for everyone. Not once did she ignore or say she was too busy to listen to our little kwentos and chica time (often times she would share her stories as well). It was never difficult approaching her. Dean Lorraine was an inspiration to us all: the epitome of grace and beauty. :)

Dean wasn't just the dean to me, or my management teacher.. she was my mother-- everyone's mother in Enderun. She was there when we needed her the most, and guided our way just like any mother and teacher would do. Honestly speaking, she brought warmth and stability into Enderun.

Although she has passed, Dean will never truly leave us. Fulfilling her role as an educator and parent, she has left us with life's lessons though her wisdom... lessons we shouldn't ever forget. The Dean is always with is, guiding us as we move on.

It was a great honour to have you as my dean, teacher, and mother in Enderun. Thank you so much for beliveing in me. Rest in peace, Dean Lorraine. You're one of a kind. <3

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
