When I was 10 I wanted rollerblades because all my cousins had a pair; come Christmas eve I received my very first pair of rollerblades from Mamita. I was the happiest kid in the world-- so happy that I slept wearing them, I kid you not. LOL. When I was 13, I was secretly wishing for a mobile phone because everyone else had one. Got my first phone when I was 14.
Macs are the latest fad nowadays, truth be told; in school more and more students are switching to macs. Hey, I myself have as a gift from dear ol' dad since Waldo died (RIP). However, it's weird (and disturbing) to hear from your 7-14 year old cousins that they want an ipod, iMac (or a MacBook).
"Wooow, you're so lucky you have a mac! I want an iMac or a MacBook."
"Why? Don't you guys have a computer at home?"
"yeah..."
"Then why do you want a mac pa?"
"no photobooth."
That's it? Photobooth? >___> What's more disturbing to hear is that their peers have their own mac laptops. I don't get why their parents would buy their kids laptops at that age. I'm sorry, but at that age do you really need your own laptop? What's wrong with the family computer? Heh. I should let this go, but as the years go by they're getting more and more materialistic.
