Best friend is home on Sunday, yay!
I had to rescue Danielle tonight in Jefferson.
Danielle's wings were clipped momentarily as she locked her keys in her car.
As it was in Jefferson at about 10:30 at night in the Sin Strip, I was so scared some evil hunter was going to capture that beautiful Bluebird and cage her up.
Lovebird has been saving a lot of friends lately.
I've been paralleling myself to a Lovebird. And via some research, I have come to find that I am a lovebird.
It is recommended you do not house a lovebird alone. Indicative of their name, they regard each other with deep fondness and affection. They show an especially intense urge for bonding. It is a characteristic deeply embedded in them. They will even bond to their same sex.
It is important for lovebirds to give each other, and receive, constant assurance and acknowledgment. These needs are satisfied by frequent contact, as in kissing and preening, or may come in a more serious manner, such as painful nips and bites.
Lovebirds are prone to loud, vocal outbursts. These usually are during times of alarm or excitement. Although they are not singers, their chirps, squeals, and chortles, make a music of their own. They dearly love to chatter and talk amongst themselves.
Lovebirds are very social birds. Generally is thought that it is essential for their good health and happiness that they be kept in pairs, not singly. If you have a single lovebird, you must provide the necessary social interaction that it is missing from another bird. These birds develop fierce loyalties to their keeper or their mate.
Aside from their social nature toward you or their mate, they can be extremely aggressive towards other birds. You must be certain that all pairs get along together, and that they are true "pairs", not mismatched. Bonded pairs constantly groom each other and will feed each other from the crop during breeding season and all year round.
These little birds will chatter all day long. They will hide in their nest box if they are startled by a sudden noise, if they spot a potential predator, or if it gets cold and windy.
I think, if I go to Pittsburgh, I'm going to invest in two lovebirds. And name them Sadie and Jude.
And get a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy or smaller breed of beagle and name him Morpheus.
Lovebird plans to kidnap Birdy and Danielle (who I think I'll start referring to as my Bluebird) and get a tattoo. Then, Bluebird and Lovebird are going to hit the bars after Lovebird gets away from that delicious sushi bar that causes her feathers to get all rustled.
Brand New - Luca.
I'm not too big on Brand New as they're just a smidgen too emo for me, but this song - and a few others - are absolutely epic musics.
