Thick sheets of gasoline, the heavy smell of petrol infiltrating the soft membrane of my brain. Sending oily black tendrils winding down my spinal chord, enveloping me, drenching me in the solvent air. My hair plastered down on my head wrapped around my face. I open my mouth to breath only to swallow and taste more of the acrid rain. The oil slick continues to creep down to my ankles and down onto the pavement below. It is a sentient being now. Threading it’s way down concrete streets winding down roads and creeping up concrete buildings. It is silent in it’s assent. Never making a sound. I grow weak and dizzy as the caustic liquid begins to overpower me. My eyes are smarting and I can no longer see clearly through the rain and the light reflecting off of the dark glossy city. I can feel my lungs burn and my chest heave as the air corrodes my soft tissues. My cells rust and fall away as my body slowly falls to the ground. I have no need of it anymore. I am, above and beyond. I am free.
