Setting: Giles' Apartment
Characters: Giles, Jenny (any other scoobies who might see how he's doing)
Summary: It finally hits Giles.
The tea was steaming quite nicely Giles thought as he took the teapot off of the stove. I lifted the top and poured some into his "Kiss the Librarian" mug jumping when his girlfriend Jenny, who had been staying with him entered the room. "Jenny. I hadn't heard you come down?" He paused and then realized how impolite he was being. "Uhm, tea?" He asked as he picked up the kettle again.
He began to pour Ms. Calendar tea trying to remember when he told the school board he'd be back to work. He hadn't been there for over a month not since...his loss. I looked up at Jenny and smiled, handing her his custom made "Kiss the Librarian's Girlfriend" mug. As he sat down in his arm chair his eyes wandered over to a picture of her and her friends. She was so joyful, so jubilant. She looked so peaceful and now...and now...
He dropped his mug on the ground as his feelings swept into him. The mug shattered into several pieces now showing combinations of letters:
KISS T, HE L, IBRAR, IAN and the N on the end now was missing it's peak. It was now an h and Giles couldn't care less. "Jenny?" He whispered. "She's gone."
