how did you feel after? and how did you get over it?

I've lied to many people, friends, family, then-boyfriend. I've grown up around lying and it's a huge part of my life. Sometimes lying comes more natural to me and a lot of the time, people believe my lies more than my truths. I've made a conscious effort to be more honest in all my relationships, though. I've had experience with people that lie/don't give me honest replies and I've had an experience with a friend that speaks her mind/opinion about everything. I value her opinions and thoughts and it's the best friendship I've ever had. It gives me the drive to want that kind of friendship/relationship with everyone. It's hard though because I'm so used to lying. I lie to my parents all the time and I don't feel any remorse over lying to my mother because I don't have a good relationship with her at all but I do feel a little guilt when I lie to my father. I try not to lie to my sisters because they mean so much to me and they support me in everything I do. I hope that answers your questions :) sorry if it's a little long, I tend to ramble :D
