friends-cut in real life
Just because we're friends, doesn't mean i want the same things in life as you do. i don't judge you, i don't measure what you want against what i want, and the least i expect is the same courtesy. there's no space in friendship for this petty 'i'm better than you at life' nonsense. i don't know about you but i expect more from friends than that.
urgh. i need new friends. i don't like who you've become. and what a pity, since i've known you almost all my life. but money, nice things and being friends with prestigeous people has you twisted. but hey, maybe my life hasn't been brightened by knowing so-and-so, the son/daughter of xxxxx minister. it doesn't matter to me like it matters to you.
btw, this is my new yardstick not just for that one friend, but for all my friends. life is too short for petty, pathetic, 'i'm better than you' competitions. that's not what friendship is for.
even if it means i'll only be left with one or two friends, i'll take that over having a million fake friends.
