stockings

for some reason, i find stockings like these incredibly sexy. thigh high, translucent black, with bits of lace at the top to mark the beginning of the holy grail. i'll take those over leggings any day. logically, bare legs should be sexier but they aren't. maybe it's the mystery (are those legs as silky smooth as they look?), or the association of it (brings to mind pin-up girls and seduction)? it's something i've wondered for awhile now. to be honest, i'm actually not sure if thigh high stockings with checkered hillbilly shirts are a good match but the cropping makes it work, at least for this photo. i suppose that's the wonderful thing about fashion, that there are infinite combinations that might make each of us react differently towards it.
also been thinking of starting a fashion/ inspiration blog to keep track of all the things that catch my eye. hmm. hah, maybe it'll force me to write something, anything.
so many things i want, so little time to save for them all!
