For Chibi

((I totally didn't see this episode. I winged it. Did also in like...3 minutes *sweatdrop*))

It was one of the most important battles in the history of the world and Tala could care less. Well no-it wasn’t that he didn’t care, he did, because if that bastard one, everyone was basically screwed but still…it didn’t seem real to him.

He looked over at Kai who was staring down at the match, focused. Tala knew Kai was wishing he was the one down there battling, not Tyson. He knew it bugged Kai.

Tala stared at Kai until Kai returned the gaze.

“You know what this means, don’t you?”

“If Tyson loses?”

“Yeah.”

“That they’ll be no more Vodka Fridays?” Tala said sarcastically. Kai never could decide whether that annoyed him or not.

“Don’t you care?” Kai challenged.

“I tend to just go with the flow,” Tala said turning back to the battle.

It had taken years to turn Tala like this. After so many years of fighting the current, he finally decided to go wherever it took him.

“Do you ever worry?” Kai asked in disbelief.

“No,” Tala said pausing then turning to Kai, grinning. “It’s not worth my time,” he said, walking away, his hand brushing against Kai’s leg.
