I FOUND IT! Well, Professor Lupin helped but I found it!
I was about to give up hope with getting into the Restricted Section but Ron thought that asking Professor Lupin would be a good idea. I was a little hesitant, I'm guessing no-one would know why but I asked anyway. For Seamus. He said no at first, saying that he doesn't normally approve of it but when I said what it was for, he gave in. He's a little shaken up by the whole thing as well. He even offered to help me with my research.
It took 5 painstaking hours (Ron's words, not mine) but then I found it! Not exactly as helpful as I would like, but there were a few other mentions but this was the most I could find. It was from 'Medical Magick and Antidotes' in the chapter 'Cures inside the Virus'.
--For example, the disease Dormius Dolorus comes from a contained virus. The residue of the virus is crucial for the antidote. The object where the virus was contained must be found in order to make the antidote. The residue must be added to the complex antidote. The residue often leaves tangible traces, mostly a scent. The scent is often cinnamon-like. Without the residue, the antidote will have no effect on the patient.--
