I highly recommend that you see it :) I saw a few eps here and there, and then found out my granparents had both s1 and s2 box sets. I devoured them in about a day each. They started a 5th series yesterday in the UK. Though we're yet to see s4 here in Aus.

And yeah, I've always been ranting since the end of s4 (24) that it's more about the individual episodes now, and how it's more for the entertainment factor (ratings and the like). Which is dissapointing, but usually how it goes in Hollywood. Spooks to me seems to have dodged that. Original characters, much more interesting and intriguing storylines (yes I think 24 has become highly cliched and predictable). Anyway, this is ranting too much :)

Also, I forgot Prison Break! It's about the only show that I watch religiously on tv these days. And I guess I have been a bit muted on here about my like of it :o Wonderful drama (though I do wish they'd hurry up and get out). Great characters, love the homie language too :P I can't even pick a favourite character hehe.

But yeah, Spooks comes highly recommended if you're after spy/action/ct :D

Oh dont get me started on 24 and the ever-important 'shock factor'. Its been driving me absolutely nuts all season :( All the writers seemed to care about was keeping it 'shocking', but in their quest to do so, they've desensitised us all to real shocks, and i'm willing to bet that we will never be as shocked by anything they do again... simply because of how much they threw at us this season. And the kick of it is, none of the deaths this season were even effective enough to be truly shocking. I couldnt STAND Ryan Chapelle, but his death in season 3 impacted on me a hell of a lot more than the death of any of the people they killed this season. And this season, at least one of the people who died was a long-time favorite characters of mine, second only to Jack Bauer!
Thats probably why I loved the finale, no 'shocks' (other than the cliffhanger), not even any real 'action'. They just went right back into character stuff, and the episode really worked because of it.

Spooks sounds really great ♥ I have to try and track down the dvds. (Speaking of spy/action stuff, have you ever watched Alias? Its really Americanised/Hollywoodised, but at the same time its really very very good. (Only seasons 1-3 though.) I never used to watch it because I thought it was all about Jennifer Garner parading around in sexy outfits, but I was really suprised to find that all of that stuff is done pretty tongue in cheek and the show itself is absolutely addictive. Some really great characters, and there's a hell of a lot more character development than 24! You should watch it if you get the chance. :)

And I adore Prison Break as well! The characters are definitely great, I cant pick a favorite either :D I heard that the tagline for next season is going to be "Prison Break: Manhunt", so i'm guessing they'll be getting out sometime soon!

I hope to have the last 6 eps of this season in the next few days :D

And yeah, I started watching Alias when it first came out, but I don't think it lasted very long. Don't know why. I can't remember a whole lot about the show at all really, but I wouldn't mind checking into it again. Though it will be hard trying to justify spending money on box sets of a show you quickly lost interest in, for whatever reason it was :P (I seem to vaguely remember it was to farfetched?)
