I haven't been updating.

Blame the 3 day weekends XD.

Too much time playing around with video games and with family to update :P.

Anyway, what's up?

Olympics, finally done. The Philippines didn't get any (regular) medal >: but I'm still proud of our athletes and I really feel bad for the taekwondo jins and the boxer who had the hopes of 70 million + Filipinos on their shoulders and they lost their first skirmishes. They looked so heartbroken >_<.

So yeah, still proud of our atheletes :D, they tried their best and that is the most important thing ^,^.

The wushu team did really well though :DDDD. Wushu was a demonstration sport (although it seems like it's a Wushu tournament held by the Beijing Organzing Comittee of the 2008 Olympics Games, during the games) in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the Philippines actually medaled! :D. One gold and three bronzes methinks ^-^. Yei for our Wushu team. :DDD

I love the stories of young athletes though, like the 14 year old British diver named Tom Daley XD or the 17 year old Spanish basketball point guard named Ricky Martin Red Rubio who started playing professionally at 14 o_O.

I also liked the fact that both Nadal and Federer won :3.

And I am actually starting to like Bolt with all his uh... showboating? The man is a character. Plus I saw clips of him playing around with the other runners before the races, he looks like fun. So yeah XD, the man could still tone down with the whole "I'm number 1!" thing, but hey, if he's happy, then he's happy. Plus, that man is crazy talented.

Next up, London 2012! I have an idea for the London Olympics. Since Beijing 2008 was all about exaggeration and spending and excess and showingt the world how coordinated the Chinese are :p XD, London could try a "Green Olympics" which would mean an Olympics that is environmentally friendly with smaller, but more sustainable stadiums/arenas, etc.

Well that's it for the update :D. Off to try and become a better student ^_~.

sports, thoughts
