CEDARKIRK
ok... so this past wekk i went on a mision trip with my ch8urch youth group:(girls) lindsay, brittney, rose, kelsey, shelby, natalee, maddie, robyn, (guys)cody, nick, trey, zach, connor, peter, william, billy. AND WE HAD A BLAST!!
So sunday(when we got there) we picled out rooms and i roomed w/ britt nd linds but then ruth comes ova nd says can rose b in ur room nd u can't say no to a preacher so rose had to b in our room. Then we went downstairs nd ment our counselors : mark, donna nd tj ( destiny joined the group later in the week). then we went to dinner. After dinner we had our devotions nd went back to pine lodge( our cabins) nd got situated nd "went to sleep".
Monday, we wake up @ 8 in the morning got ready nd went to breakfast @ 8:30. Then we went to metropolitan ministries( a place to help the homeless) this day we worked together as a group to pull out spider plants nd relocate them on the other side of the building. I worked w/ TJ on the wheelbarrel. @ 11:30 we went to lunch then got back to work outside. After we were done we went to Cedarkirk nd got ready to swim. While @ the pool we were diving off the diving board nd stuff. Well... Lindsay goes nd procedes to pull a muscle on this diving board. So i go back to the cabin with her to get ready for the other activities. Then we went to do the initistives course( low ropes). We finished @ 5 just in time for dinner @ 5:30. The whole Time 2 the course i carried lindsay on my back. can u say BONEY!! so then we went to dinner all hott nd sweaty. Then we ate dinner had devotions nd went back to the cabin 4 freetime. HTen we went to the campfire nd all the counselors were telling all these stupid jokes but they made it really funn. I had funn. I think every1 esle wuz rly bored but u have to make ur life fun or wut is the point of living? Then we had our bible study nd went back upstairs to get ready nd then we "went to sleep".
Tuesday, we wake up @ 8 in the morning got ready nd went to breakfast @ 8:30. Then we went to take a tour around Beth-El... it is a place for migrant workers who don't have a home or place to get an education. We went back to cedarkirk and then had a whole buttload of freetime until 12:30 4 lunch. Then we got ready nd we split the group in half. My group went to swimming nd then went to do the rock wall while the others went to go do highropes. We get to the wall nd the pressure is off the the thingy that lets u down so we couldn't do it. So we went to do more initiatives. We finished and went to dinner @ 5:30 had our devotions and songtime nd went back to the cabin for games. Then we went to the hoot-a-nanny. It wuz awesome. I danced w/ cody nd zach. Then we had our bible study nd " went to sleep".

Then we went to work around Cedarkirk. 5 peepl worked on a roof, then the others that were left split into two groups nd cleared a trail 4 an ambulance to get to the highropes course if needeed nd the other spread mulch around the wall. Then we had lunch nd got ready 4 the highropes. We went nd did the orientation nd got up on the ropes. I wuz the 1st up. I did most of the ropes blindfolded as well as not blindfolded. No 1 else did anything blindfolded. i feel special. lol... so then we went to dinner nd had our devotions. then we played wolly woogle. ( a game ) So after gameswe went nd had bible study. then we went back 4 freetime nd then " went to sleep".
Thursday, we wake up @ 8 in the morning got ready nd went to breakfast @ 8:30. Then we went to work around Cedarkirk. 5 peepl worked on a roof( me this time), then the others that were left did various projects around camp. Then we had lunch @ 12:30 nd then we swam nd every 1 wuz doin belly flops. TJ wuz gettin every 1 to do them nd he told me that if i did a belly flop he wold give me an extra s'more tonight @ campfire ( every 1 only gets 1 u see). So i did a belly flop nd it didsn't hurt at all( cause we had to wear shirts unless we had a 1 piece suit. Then he wanted me to do another nd i said 4 wut nd he said wutever i wanted. sp i did 1 but i still haven't claimed it yett. So then another lady just got there nd TJ told her how i wuz the only girl doin belly flops ndhow i won a s'more nd wut ever i wanted. Nd sos e told me she would give me a cookie if i did 1. So i did it nd got the cookie l8er @ campfire. So i went back tot he cabin to get ready cause lindsay nd Tj nd i were supposed to do a song @ the campfire. So we got there nd had s'mores nd i got an extra 1 nd then we watched this thingy nd it wuz rly funny cause thy were havin a " spitten contest" they pretended to spit into a can while the other person holding the can flicked the bottom to make the noise nd the last guy was the " hardest spitter @ cedarkirk" nd he spit so hard that the guy holding the can flung all buttload of "spit"( rly water) onto all the little kids. They were all like EEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! it wuz rly funny. Then we went back nd had our bible study nd i had a little talk w// tj that rly meant a lot nd then we had free time nd then we "went to bedd".

Then we went to metropolitan ministries( a place to help the homeless) this day we worked as two seprete groups nd my group worked outside pulling out all these plants that they didn't want nd the sissys worked in the thrift store. OK there is a hilarious story. So they wanted us to put these plants onto a wheel barrel nd put the wheelbarrow's contents into this 10 Ft high dumpster. So it wuz me nd kelsey nd william nd TJ. So we have the wheel barrol in the lip of the dumpster nd we hear william say HELP HELP I"M STUCK nd his head wuz stuck between the dumpster nd the wheel on the wheelbarrow. nd so we drop the wheelbarrow cause we r laughing so hard nd i seriously almost peed my pants. Then we went to lunch ( the peepl that wanted to eat) nd TJ nd i met these two guys who were seniors nd they were volunteering @ metroplolitan ministries.then we went back outside to keep workin. So we get another load nd we just dump it behind the dumpster cause we were NOT liftin it up there again. so kelsey nd i go dumpstyer diving nd we get TJ to come in w/ us nd we find these exit signs that we kept nd we r tryin to fix them. Then we go nd help in the thrift store to sort clothes( cause we were already done) nd then we went back to camp nd packed. we packed the vans then went to lunch. Then we had our devotions nd songtime nd we played games till the closing program. We had songtime b 4 the closing program nd every1 thought that wuz the closing program except me nd lindsay nd TJ cause we were doin the fishing song. Nd so we got every 1 back to cedar lodge nd we did closing program nd then we left cedarkirk. i will miss every 1 there soo much. We got back to church @ 5 nd went our seperate ways.
I learned a lot about my self nd our wholle outh group @ cedarkirk. I grew in the lord nd i made new friends. I really want to go back ASAP!! if n e 1 would still like to go this summer i have the web site nd # u can call for more info!!
