fantastic Red Wine Stain removal
We had friends round friday night, everything was going well, we were half drunk already, Martin had just poured himself a glass of red wine, then somehow martin and chris both turned round at the same time, bumped into each other, chris hitting the glass out of martins hand, glass smashed, red wine everywhere,i was amazed how far the splash went actually,
it looked like a murder scene with the spray of red wine on our ivory carpet (yes i know, an ivory carpet isnt very practical).
chris and i immediately picked up and vacuumed the glass shards, then used the Bissel wet carpet vacuum (like a Vax), that didnt work, then we used 'vanish' on the stain, that didnt work, then we put some 'oxi-action' on it and it turned the pink stain, dark grey!!!!!!!!!! arghh!!!! chemical reaction.
today i decided to try again. i googled 'red wine stain removal' and the first site suggested using a very rough 60:40 mix of Hydrogen peroxide:liquid soap.
and it bloody worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it bloody worked. i'm so relieved.
i used cream peroxide that i had in bathroom for bleaching hair. or you can get hydrogen peroxide from chemists which you use to clean new piercings with.
and any liquid soap works - hand soap, washing up liquid, carpet cleaning soap.
this works on any fabric the website says. and on old and fresh stains.
try it.
