Definately made me do a double take.
Anyway, I'm almost finished with History Day. The board is done, and I'm not touching it for quite a while. Last night, Ms. Collums and I spent three hours straight manipulating and adding what I had most recentely printed without a single break. I added five more pictures and an excellent quote today. I've literally ran out of room.
However, there's always more work to be done. I expect to be up into the wee hours of the morning attempting to complete my annotated bibliography. Bet you money I'll still need to complete it tomorrow during 2nd and 3rd hour.
As I stood there and gazed upon my final creation, I felt a sensation of the truest form of pride. I have never felt so accomplished in my life. I am moved by what I have witnessed and researched over the last few months, and this project has deeply changed who I am as a human being. I can no longer stand by and watch these atrocities go by just because the countries in which they are occurring have little to no economic value to us. It's time for me to take a stand.
I can only hope that the results at Saturday's award ceremony support that this work didn't go in vain. But actually, as I think about it, I could be in last place and it still could have made one of the biggest impacts I could have ever hoped for: on my own life.
