Today I was baptized in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ, and it's the greatest feeling I think I can say I have ever felt so far in my life. As a little kid, I intentionally wasn't baptized so I would be able to consciencely make the decision when I am ready and feel it appropriate. Ever since I found out I wasn't baptized as a kid, I knew I would like to eventually be baptized, but decided to wait until the right time. Unfortunately, awhile back our youth pastor, Jeff Mugford, left to pursue greater things in Portland, Oregon, and shortly after I began to feel my faith essentially dwindling. I regretted for so long not getting baptized while Jeff was with us at Mountain Park, and promised myself that if ever Jeff were to come back and perform a baptism, I would go ahead and get baptized.
And then nearly a month ago, I got word Jeff Mugford would be back in Arizona for a wedding and would also be leading a baptism and I realized immediately what I needed to do. I got the necessary information, and prayed a lot about it, and there I was a couple weeks later, waist deep in what has now confirmed my belief in Jesus Christ and renewed my relationship with our heavenly father God with the one person who I would have it no other way than to be baptized by.
