"Going inside someone's mind" plots (currently of the Inception variety) are boring by now.
I understand that there is a very long tradition of few well-selected phrases from the Official Wise Character being enough to heal/encourage/transform Protagonists Struggling With Issues, but I would have hoped that by now this would be recognized as a cheap, ham-fisted device.
Pros:
I keep enjoying Anna Torv and John Noble's performances... particularly in what they don't say.
Speaking of which, if you don't think Walter would have been sorely tempted to pick Bell over Olivia, you don't know Walter.
Peter knows Walter.
Fringe has probably some of the best last-lines-of-episodes in current television
