Title: 158.3
Fandom: DC Comics
Prompt: #5, Syzygy
Word Count: About a hundred and forty.
Rating: PG13
Disclaimer: DC Comics owns all characters involved. Not that Oracle pays too much attention to things like that.
Summary: Sanity has absolutely nothing to do with this.

You have him under surveillance, of course. Not that it gives you much information.

You have his medication schedules and his blood tests. Tapes of his therapy sessions and videos of his rec room murders.

You aren't trying to understand him. You don't know what you are doing. He doesn't define you, never did and never will. But you are who you are.

Some nights he speaks all night long. Horrible words jumping across languages and logical modes, phrases teetering in the verge of sense. Some of them could have been directed to you. Some of them could only have been directed to you.

It feels like garbage over your skin and a hundred nails scratching dirty blackboards. It gets inside you.

You are who you are. One night you speak through the bug.

You'll get inside him, too. And then you'll break him.
