Last friday I went to a concert, a concert that was anticipated much greater than most: New Found Glory, The Early November, Cartel, and Hit The Lights. A bill jammed with Fun Punk-Pop, the funnest in the business, not much beats that. So, first thing Hit The Lights wasn't there. The band that replaced them was good and talented but it just wasn't the same. Cartel was next. They played their five best songs say anything else, honestly, runaway, burn this city and the minstrel's prayer and no lucky street. No complaints there and their set definetly lifted my spirits. and next was the early november, they were missing a drummer and they played acoutic. IT turned out great! They basically took requests the whole time. Sunday Drive was nicely done. and so was NFG. Actually New Found Glory was the best. After Cartel and TEN I was satsified and tired and I wasn't even that juiced for them but the second they came on that completely changed, I bolted into the crowd. They opened with all downhill from here then understatement then better off dead then some new songs like oxygen and yea. NFG TEN and Cartel all met my 3 of my good concert qualifications. 1) Good Set: play the right songs in a good order. 2) Good sound: Sound good no sloppy playing, dont hack. 3) Crowd Vibe: The crowd is into it and everyone knows the words. but New Found Glory owned all, maybe the best show of this year. Im totally gonna be hooked on NFG for the next month now at least.
Saturday two things went down that don't necessarily have direct corrallation with me but here they are The Detroit Tigers for the first time in 22 years are going to the world series! BAM! Maggs is currently my hero! If you saw the game you know why! And the Walt Whitman Library Branch has closed for good, I wanted to go there one last time but time was something I didn't have enough of.
Sunday josh and I went to davis' birthday party at his house at 36 & dequindre. Kevin the man was there havent hung out with him in a while. Several of my favorite missions trip people were there, we played spladle which is likes spoons but we play with spladles. And we went to his forest and went to his lake/pond. I want my own forest and my own pond. the only bad thing is that I missed small groups cause probably the only thing I would've changed
