Here's a tip: screw the boxes. Only mommies and teachers like the boxes. Kids want to put their money into something that strikes them.
Last year I collected for UNICEF over a course of two months and came up with a measley $64. My little sister collected for March of Dimes and got $25 in ONE DAY.
The difference: I used UNICEF boxes, and she used a baby bottle.
The sentimental value of the baby bottle captured the hearts of the donaters, thus urging them to donate more.
I suggest trying the baby bottle approach, or maybe another container that might arouse the charity spirit in people.
Good luck and thanks for helping out! ^o^ I'm doing it this year, too. Rahhh!!
